"Nick runs the conference. Funny how there always seems to be a bye week before his tough games. Texas A&M-bye week before. LSU-bye week before. Lets look at the OOC schedule. Chattanooga state? Georgia state? They avoid Georgia, Florida, South Carolina. They get Tennessee and Kentucky and have byes before their tough games. It's obvious Nick runs that conference. In comparison to Notre Dames schedule, Alabama has a cake walk. 6 teams on the schedule are in the toilet."
Said all this in response to people saying Notre Dame doesn't play a tough schedule.

one year is not indicative of the entirety, it's also suspect when a person fails to mention the good teams they play

Alabama was around the 6th or 7th best team in the nation last season. They'll be around that mark again this year.
It's easy to load the schedule up with cup cakes, and then coach a team up for 1 or 2 big games. What they do is no different than what Boise State did during their heyday, the only difference is Alabama gets pushed over the top by the extreme media bias.

He failed to mention that we will have to play 14 games next year.

Let's just ignore 2010 when we had Florida and USC and it seemed like every team had a bye week before playing us. Yes that's old news and definitely not relevant.

I think maybe he should do a little research before he makes comments such as always has a bye week before his tough games. Last year our bye week was before Missouri, I guess we really needed that since we beat them 42-10. I wish we had a bye week last year before the A&M game, because that game was at the end of 3 pretty tough games. We were really beat up after the LSU game, and could have used the bye to mend before A&M. So a person shouldn't judge by only looking at the schedule for 1 year, and the easy schedule doesn't always help. Look at Georgia for the last 2 years. They had the easiest schedule in the SEC and didn't even win the conference.

Cowherd please!!
There has been a bye week before LSU since 2009, so why is it an an issue now?

There is no Alabama on our schedule. Of course ours is going to look weak compared to the lesser schools that have to play Bama every year.

Always? Or this year? LSU has byes before A&M and Alabama too.

Alabama has the easiest schedule in the SEC this year. A little unfair to use them to compare ND to the SEC. Also, while there is nothing shameful about ND's schedule, all of the teams have a recognizable name, but few are actually high quality opponents.

I guess he forgot last year when they played #11 Miss St., at #5 LSU, then #15 Texas A&M in a three week stretch.
In 2010, they went to #10 Arkansas, home against #7 Florida, then on the road to #19 S. Carolina.

It must suck to have such an inferiority complex that LSU has about Bama. To know that you have never been as relevant as or ever will be as relevant as the team that has now elevated your former coach to Legend status has to be very painful.

That's funny. I always seem to hear it the other way around.
