I figured you Bama fans wouldn't feel the need to defend yourselves in this thread. I even listed you first. shite.
Alabama's defense is so good.... Their fans have to defend everything that doesn't have them #1 so they feel worthy to be a fan.

It was a Mike Dubose coached team. He never won a bowl game.

That LSU game in 2005 was miserable. Worse game I've been to.

I was a pledge that game. Cold as frick and had female drama. Then throw in that the only sliver of an OM highlight was P-Willy powerbombing Justin Vincent's fat arse - not a fun night in my memory bank.

Then they shouldn't have accepted the bid. Should have stayed home if they didn't want to be there. That's how I feel when that is said. When you have a season where you win 6 or 7 games, just be happy you get an invite to a bowl.
I doubt the University consults with the players before accepting a bowl bid. Do you really think players get all hyped up to extend a shitty season?
I can understand little known teams just being happy to be there, but when a program expects better, an invite to a lower tier bowl game just means you won't be home for Christmas.

Isn't Ole Miss the only program to play another conference member in the Sugar Bowl on two occasions? Alabama in 1960 and LSU in 1964.
Ahhhh if any of you are over 60 yrs old you may realize that SEC teams played each other in bowl games quite often up until the mid 1960s. We played Ole Miss in the Gator Bowl as I recall back in the very late 50s. There werent many bowl games and the SEC wanted to keep all the $$ back then...teamns could go 7-3 like UF did in 1964 and not go to bowl game....now 6-6 is somehow worthy of a bowl trip.

It wasn't as often as you are insinuating.

MSU 9-6 (.600)
"If" MSU beats Northwestern it will be 6 consecutive wins in a bowl game and give the Bulldogs 10 total bowl wins.
With Rutgers losing the 6 wins will be the longest active in the nation.

Someone has to win the crap bowls.

Bama & LSU are tied going to the most Sugar Bowls at 13 each.
Bama 8-5, LSU 6-7
Had LSU won in January, they'd both be 7-6.
But, they didn't.

Ok? Attention everybody, RebelNutt is officially the hippest Ole Miss poster on this site and would never partake in any tomfoolery. He's just too cool for that.
