UA has to extend Saban every year to keep him in Tuscaloosa. Now that is hilarious. As for your "perfect timing", does UA now have to extend Saban as some kind of stunt to recruit-or to keep their remaining commits from flipping?

Agree. Our guys should be the ones pushing people around. Like the Georgia game in 2010 when Fairly & Co made the dogfaces squeal for months.
Ford looks very fast in the game videos I have seen. At least a lot faster than anyone trying to catch him. Excellent in the open field. I hope he will bring some of that home run excitement we've been starved for.
Either WR or move TE. Just throw him the ball. a tall target like Griffin would be a real help to a young QB, and we have nothing but QBs that could use such help.

Saban wants to be the highest paid coach in the NFL. His agent has already had preliminary talks with Haslam and Joe Banner. There is one other NFL team now in the running that may well meet Saban's salary and personnel demands.
