does ABC/ESPN have the BCS NC game this year? Teo will be in that if you want to pay that angle...
Yeah, and if the Heisman winner was paying in a Fox bowl that will matter.
For the national title game, especially if the other team is Bama, there is enough history to build up the game as is.
For the Cap One Bowl, it will be a Mich team even their fans don't like and a A&M team that the only reason most national fans give a shite is IF Johnny wins the award.
ESPN is going to help bring home the statue!

Dodds loves to pile on Missouri. He's hated by many in the fanbase, because he never, has a good thing to say and is always taking shots at the team, any chance he can.

This thread is entertaining.

Is it just me or is it the same trolls always talking shite??
BTW - Anybody who believes that A&M wouldn't be absolutely willing to slaughter the sips should be shot.

I would rather play in the Cotton Bowl too. I thought these Aggie fans were a nice addition at first, but my roommate (from Texas) warned me that Aggies were horrible. I didn't listen, but y'all are getting old quick. 1 win over Alabama, and y'all are almost unbearable

Ya'll were saying the same thing last year before they sent you here red assed from a spanking.

UT's last visit to the Metroplex a 63-21 killing at the hands of the OU in October. They don't want to risk that again.

The Cap1 bowl might get to pick first, but ask any SEC fan and they will prefer the Cotton Bowl, because it is the better bowl.
well, i'm an sec fan and the cap 1 bowl is better. orlando vs dallas. just because they have jerry's world as a venue doesn't make it a better bowl. cap 1 pays more too.

Not even a lie, I recall last year there was like two other bowls with SEC teams playing at the same time as the Cap1 bowl.
Right. You completely forget about the game every year even though the matchups have consistently been vs top 25 teams.
2012 - #9 USCe vs #20 Nebraska
2011 - #16 Alabama vs #9 Michigan State
2010 - #12 LSU vs #13 Penn State
2009 - #15 Georgia vs #18 Michigan State
2008 - #12 Florida vs Michigan
2007 - #12 Arkansas vs #7 Wisconsin
2006 - #9 Auburn vs #18 Wisconsin
Sorry but what you say just doesn't ring true.

Michigan already got destroyed by one SEC team, what would you prove by beating them

about as little as dominating an 8-4 Texas would prove.

And?
Last year at the same time:
Florida vs Ohio State (Gator Bowl)
Oregon vs Wisconsin (Rose Bowl)
Michigan State vs Georgia (Outback Bowl)
An hour prior kick off:
Houston vs Penn State (Ticket City)
I remember watching the above because of the Pedo bears in the stands.
What did I say wasn't true, there was two other SEC teams that kicked off at the same time plus the Rose Bowl (which we watched a lot of) the capital one bowl is forgot about at our little party each year.

Interestingly enough, Michigan and Bama both pocketed $4.7 million for playing that game.
Roughly the same payout per team as what the Capital One Bowl paid out in Jan 2012 -- the largest payout for a non-BCS bowl.
Why should Bama be the only team to get paid handsomely for destroying Michigan?

aTm would get ~$200,000 more from the Cap1 (somewhere around $1.35MM).
It is really a negligible amount because of the extra travel costs from Dallas to Orlando from College Station.
Edit: I used the payout numbers from when the SEC had 12 members. Actually, each member will be losing a bit of money because in 2010, 10 teams made bowls, split 12 ways. This year 9 teams will split among 14.
