if they think JFF is going to be able to do the things he's done this year for the next 3. This kid is good, no doubt, but lets be honest people. Sumlin inherited a team with 3 NFL offensive linemen, 2 of which are high first rounders on at the tackle positions. You take that, plus the fact that teams will have a year's worth of film on the guy/system. It's going to be a steep uphill battle for TAMU to reproduce their success this year on offense, not to mention their defense probably won't be a lot better either.

They said the same thing about Tebow.

I've heard this before...

...then Auburn won a National Championship. With Cam Newton and a wide open offense.

Is the new talking point going to be "A&M will be lucky to win 1 or at most 2 SEC games in 2013" since everyone was dead effing wrong about 2012?

If its predicted enough, maybe it will come true

Both tackles will be back in 2013.

Would Cam Newton have been shut down if he came back for another year?

And A&M has foue-star nationally ranked recruits backing up our tackles. We'll be fine.

After his Heisman Trophy winning season in 2007, Florida and Tim Tebow still managed to somehow scrape by with 27 wins and just 1 loss in the following two seasons.

Tim finished 3rd in the Heisman voting in 2008 and 5th in 2009.

Tebow managed 3419 total yards and 42 total TDs in 2008. He also accumulated 3805 total yards and 35 total TDs in 2009.

The only real statistical discrepancy you'll see is his yards per carry from his Heisman-winning season in 2007 to 2008. His average fell from 4.3 to 3.8.

Basically, great players are gonna be great no matter what you do to prepare.

I know, I know, tl;dr.

Our schedule next year is much more favorable than this year. We have Johnny for 3 more years....our tackles can come back for their senior year. Recruiting is better than ever. The Texas A&M threat isn't going anywhere swamp cat.

HE'S GOING TO GET INJURED AGAINST LSU.. CAN'T KEEP THIS UP

JOHNNY'S GOING TO GET GRINDED... NO WAY HE MAKES IT OUT OF STARKVILLE

WHEN JOHNNY COMES INTO BDS HE WILL LEAVE ON A CART AND BE AIRLIFTED TO THE NEAREST HOSPITAL

What's next?

OP's got a great point. Also, we should not expect a QB to improve from his freshman to his soph year. And we should not expect a coach to improve from his first year to his second. And it probably won't matter that Brandon Williams will be eligible next year, nor any of the other of the legions of players returning.

A&M's success or lack there of will really depend on what both tackles decide going into next year. If they lose both, that means they lose Michael, 3 starting OL including 2 best OL and 3 of Top 5 WRs. That will be rough. I wonder if Malena may test the NFL waters because he knows Manziel likes to do all the running himself.

It's going to suck having another Tebow in the SEC.

Three more long years

You are in for a rude awakening if you think A&M is going to be worse next year.

I would bet money that that at least one of the OTs return next year. We have two badass RBs waiting in the wings to complement the two great RBs returning next year. Swope is a loss, but Mike Evans and Thomas Johnson (not to mention the loaded WR talent we have coming in) will reload. JFF is going to get better, not worse. The more he improves as a passer, the harder he will be to stop.

Defense will probably be at the same level, if not better.

Combine that with a VERY favorable schedule next year, and you would be a fool to think things look bleak for us.

You can smell the fear on some of these LSU fans.

Do you really think A&M fans are going to listen to these predictions of doom after proving the entire country wrong this year?

I choose to believe this is a troll attempt, for your sake...
