I see fans saying that 2013 is really the year we were likely to win the title anyway, and this is a down year. Do yall really believe that?

Three NFL linemen leaving, our four top defensive linemen, probably our top two linebackers, our top corner, and our top safety. I just don't see it

I think you answered your own question.

If LSU returns some of our juniors we will be NASTY next year. Our entire offense will be back basically and our LBs will be better than they have been in probably a decade. Our Dline reloads and our DBs are freshmen/sophs this year.

I hope Reid stays because hes a leader on the field and in the locker room and if he does watch out.

Alabama will be in the NC hunt until saban retires. That is the main reason for the fear and hate from certain fanbases

The thought process is that AJ will be in his senior year and should be at his full potential while Yeldon and Coop will have a year of exp under their belt along with some of the young guys we have on defense. The problem is the trenches. We are losing experience and talent on both sides of the ball in that area. I'm very concerned with our NT situation after this year, but to Coach Saban's credit, I've been concerned with it every year since Cody up until this year of course and have been pleasantly surprised.

We have a shite ton of talent in our secondary that will also have LOTS of game experience for next year. Honestly the LB situation is about the same. It's really all about the trenches.

That's my biggest concern. Hopefully, Fluker comes back for his senior year.

None of them are worth a damn except for Jesse Williams.

probably our top two linebackers

Is Mosley even a projected first round pick? Johnson isn't that big of a loss. He's pretty replaceable.

our top corner

I'm much more worried about the Bama pass rush than the secondary next year. Our CBs would look much better if they weren't left on an island so much because the front seven isn't good enough to generate pressure on the QB without blitzing.

and our top safety.

Haha Clinton-Dix with an additional year of experience plus Landon Collins will actually be an upgrade over our safeties this year. I've never been impressed with Lester's pass coverage.

Anyone who thinks that Bama and LSU won't continue to be good is a freaking idiot!!!

Those teams will remain at the top for sometime to come, regardless of who leaves for the NFL. It won't hurt LSU & Bama as much as other SEC schools.

aTm, Arkansas, and MSST will all battle for number 3 for the next 5 years.

I used to say that before the season started, but I am weary of the amount of talent leaving on the O-line. If Fluker stays, then maybe the offense won't miss a beat, but it will be tough to say.

As far as the defense goes, we lose a lot, but I have faith in those young guys to step up. We will be really good, but I don't see us being as dominant as previous years.

Losing alot but there is alot in the cupboard so to speak. Just going to depend on quickly they can mature and gel together.

The good news is, Fulton got put in the fire like Dee did two years ago and he stepped up with several big plays against aTm. He could develop into a good player next season

I'd say there are about 3-5 teams on paper next year that could put it all together for a great run. However, I'm not up to speed on what each team is losing specifically. Based on what you've said Bama is losing: that is A LOT to replace. SEC teams live and die by their lines. Case in point, look at us this year. Our strength going into the season was our O Line; then we got the injury bug and it took us half the season to gel with the new guys.

Bama will be good and in the nat'l championship mix, LSU will be good and in the nat'l championship mix- and they both better look out for that kid from Kerrville who seems to be getting harder to catch every damn week.

LSU is tied for first or second in the country for freshmen played. LSU will be dangerous next year.

This time last week the talk across the state of Alabama was how would the 2012 Bama squad fare against an NFL team. Now today we hear "this is a down year" and "2013 is really the year we were likely to win the title anyway"?

Really? Come on now.

Bama won't be as good in 2013 as this year, last year, or even 2010. The 2010 team was really good, they just didn't work very hard and were still happy about the 2009 NC.

Games are won in the trenches and 2013 Bama will not be as good.

Stinson is a Junior.

Mosley may stay.

Right now it looks like this on D :

Jeoffrey Pagan
Ed Stinson
Brandon Ivory

All have had a lot of PT outside of mop up duty. Stinson is a starter.

CJ Mosley *
Trey DePriest
Xzavier Dickson
Adrian Hubbard
Denzell Devall

Mosley, DePriest, Dickson, and Hubbard are starters. Mosley is 50/50 on if he goes or stays. Devall will probably just be an occasional mix up to rush the passer. All have played significant time.

Deion Belue
John Fulton
Nick Perry
HaHa
Vinnie Sunseri

Deion, HaHa, Sunseri, and Perry have all started and all have played a lot in Nickel/Dime. John Fulton plays in every game outside of mop up duty but we haven't used his formations much outside of the opener and the aTm game, he's looked good when he's played though.
