Hoke expects some commitments today

I think Bell will be one and rightfully so. Big kid and will be our last offensive lineman of the class.
Not sure who the others are other than BM saying Davis but I hope Ford is one if we aren't able to get Elder.

Maybe the Omac role?
I thought that is what Ford and Elder were being looked at and both have more size and are running backs.
Why is Corey Grant not being looked at for this. From what we heard last year, his speed was close to Omac of not faster.

Since we missed on Green, I think we should hold out and push for a top recruit next year. Especially if the Dyer to walk on rumors are true.
ETA:
I'm dropping some stink bait on the SEC recruiting board Chris Jones thread, if any of you would like to add.

If this happens. I will smile on the left side of my face and cry like a bitch on the other side

Straightline, he's the fastest guy on the team. But he has no lateral quickness whatsoever.

That is what i have heard about him and he is tough to move around the field (possible DB) due to poor hip movement or some shite.
As for the Dyer rumors, I loved the kid when he was here but he really brings nothing to the team but possible issues. He has sat for a year without being on a team anywhere so he will most likely be rusty and would be a junior or a senior when we already have a very good junior in Mason and the top JUCO RB in Payne. I don't see where taking the risk would get us the reward needed taking Dyer back, even as a walk-on.
As for the rest of the backs, I would like to see us take a speed back in Elder or Ford and leave it alone and try to get two good ones next year with some time to recruit them and show them improvement on the team.

Doesn't matter what your opinion on Dyer is, but someone on here swears he's walking on. FWIW, I have no clue if its true or not.

For those crying about Marcus Davis' "lack of size", go take a look at his twitter display pic.

It absolutely doesn't matter what my opinion on the kid is, I agree. I just think it is a foolish risk considering Malzahn gave him a second chance at ASU and got burned again. After that, I just don't see Malzahn allowing it, but I could be wrong.

We need a true featured back. Like Dyer was... We have a bunch of guys who have potential but none are strong true featured backs..
Or have showed it
Mason is the best we have right now. Kid has plenty of potential.. Just needs one more step

I actually disagree with you on that. Mason getting 1k last year proved to me that he is a feature back when you look at the offense as a whole. Defenses stacked the box with no worries of a pass and our line was below average at best. I think mason could be a great back if we get some pass support and the line plays at above average.

Yea, I agree he has plenty of potential. He is by far my favorite back and one of my favorite players we have. He did not quit last year. Means a lot...
I think most of the time, the line was stacked which hurt but he still had a great ypc..

so he is a muscular 170 pounds. No matter how you chalk it up, that is still small and probably not much room to gain either.

The dude is built. How does he only way 170? Either he's 5' 0" or someone made a mistake.

If the dude is 5'11 and 170 I'd say he has plenty of room to grow.

Just a thought but isn't Marcus Davis the teammate of RB Greg Bryant? Who IMO would be a beast in Gus's offense. Just a thought of why we would take him

TJ Green, safety/WR from sylacauga, committed to clemson today.... He got an AU offer a couple days ago.
