If anyone remembers Josh Langford from a few years ago we are apparently trying to pursue him via transfer from MSU. Former 5* who has had a few injuries the past 1.5 years. If he can stay healthy and transfers vs staying or going to the NBA that’d be a huge pickup. From AL originally. LINK

I mean it was outside on a court they've never shot on..... I wouldn't put much stock, if any, into the shooting and 3 point contest from last night.
Wiley hit 3 in a row for crying out loud. Obviously doesn't mean he's an elite 3pt shooter

So I know this was going to be televised last year by SECN, but now I can't find any sort of articles out there referencing if it will be televised.
Anyone know? I looked up the SECN schedule and it doesn't appear to be on that this year. At least not on the main channel.

??? LINK / ??? I can't seem to find that info anywhere? He was supposed to be a hard Vandy lean, so I guess that wouldn't be a huge shock taking academics into consideration

A couple of notes from the weekend and last night:
Bruce visited sweet Sharife last night. Sounds like we're going to really push for him to commit in the next few weeks, quick turnaround after the weekend visit obviously. UGA visiting as well. Harper being there this weekend couldn't have hurt.
Pearl headed to meet high 4* IMG SG Matthew Murrell today/tonight. Vandy visiting as well.
Pearl headed to see 5* CG Jalen Green next Monday - #3 overall player (!!!) He's taking an OV on the 26th.
Pearl saw 2021 5* Jabari Smith yesterday as well.
Bruce is a machine!
I didn't see it posted, but Jaemyn Brakefield (#35 overall, 6'9 PF) had a really great OV over the weekend. Seems like it's us and Louisville at the moment. Interesting that he says Bruce wants him to play the Chuma / Tobias Harris role. Harris was a star for Bruce at UT and just got a massive NBA contract. Love that Pearl can hang his hat on having a star in the NBA. Brakefield is from Mississippi so he likes the south and the small town vibe.
Last thing is Kessler had his OV to Duke last weekend but I haven't seen any notes come out about it. I guess it's good he didn't commit? Up next is UNC for him and then Gonzaga.

Rumor is he didn't have his stuff in line to actually get into Grad School. So he was basically forced to declare for the draft knowing good and well he wouldn't actually get drafted.

Ill back up Chin with a few things from reading some sites:
Jay Tate continues to say there’s a surprise PG that will be on the team at some point. Thinks it’s Cooper not reclassifying, but graduating early like Wiley did and joining the team in December.
Very reputable poster (jhead) predicted Cooper, Stone, and Kessler to commit to AU by the end of July - If so, it’s going to be an interesting couple of weeks. Lot of people think it’s us or Duke for Kessler. Maybe having Powell will push it over the finish line for us since they’re good friends?
Not getting Cooper would be beyond disappointing at this point. Rivals national guy had this to say in an article on who the next big commitment is:
“I'm going to go with Sharife Cooper popping for Auburn at some point in the near future. I'm honestly not even sure he's visited any other schools throughout the recruiting process. He's been to Auburn numerous times, and I'm told spent a lot of time recruiting for Auburn on its big recruiting weekend at the beginning of June.”
After that, who knows what happens. Boston and other 5*s you don’t say no to but we’ll be in a spot to be really selective.
The 2021 squad could really be something special...
Cooper
Stone/Powell
Okoro
??? Williams probably
Kessler

That is legit. Can't have your wife and your GF living in the same city.
Coming from a current Atlanta resident. There's a reason the only big time free agent ATL has attracted in the last 10 years is a vastly overpaid Joe Johnson.

Well, Ruffin just decommitted after 11 days. Just got bumped to #35 overall in 2021. Must be scared of Cooper.

Apparently, quite good friends. If he can actually help with Kessler then he may be the most important recruit in the class. Though I still think Cooper is behind the scenes recruiting his arse off for us. Especially with Ira being reinstated and getting a vote of confidence from AU.

Powell is far from a 3*. He missed all of last season when he transferred HS, but like I said a few pages back he went off at the Nike event with the most elite players in the country.
Cooper + Powell is a really nice start to this class. Brown or Kessler would truly make it elite.

Bruce is truly a god.
Jaden Springer - #11 overall and #3 shooting guard from IMG Academy taking an official visit next weekend - LINK / along with Jayden Stone - LINK /
Greg Brown will be back next Wednesday for an unofficial.
9 Recruits here for Big Cat - I think Bruce is calling it a "Fish Fry" for basketball recruits. Confirmed that both Cooper AND Boston will be here along with a couple of other recruits, and obviously Kessler on his official.
I mean that's FIVE 5 stars visiting over a 7 day span + a couple highly ranked 4 stars - 6 out of the top 48 recruits in the nation. I know I joked about Bruce big dicking Gus on his own recruiting weekend, but it's actually happening.
EDIT: Apparently we're feeling really good about this Franklin guy and we're hoping to lock him up in the very near future. Immediately eligible, though I don't know how recovered he is from the broken leg.

I actually heard he may have work to do to qualify for a P5 school? It would make sense considering he didn’t even get an invite to the combine or the elite camp... Pretty odd move IMO considering his pedigree. A good year at a P5 school against good competition could really shoot him up the boards. We’ll see where he fall, I’d guess late 2nd no guaranteed contract.
On another note getting Greg Brown back is HUGE. This guy is an absolute freak athlete. Legit 6’8 and super long. If he can develop some better ball handling and shot you may be looking at a superstar. Hopefully that helps at least get Cooper to make the trip. Here’s Brown if you’d like to look LINK /
2020 class of Cooper, Brown, Kessler, & Powell would be unreal. Have a chance to get them all together this weekend.

Not only Kessler, but a few others. SG Justin Powell also. He just went off at the NIKE EYBL event in Atlanta. Was named to the honorable mention team after shooting 58% from the international three-point line. Big programs like KY (and Auburn) are on him now. LINK
Don’t be surprised to see Cooper show up and maybe Boston as well.
Some other random 2020/2021 prospects as well. Clifford Omoruyi and Rongie Gordon being the most significant. Here’s Omoyuri LINK
I think we can all appreciate the fact that Bruce is about to big dick Gus on Big Cat weekend.

Some folks out there think that we're a big time player for Greg Brown. Truly a freak athlete, lottery pick style player.
EDIT: And also seemed to have bonded with Rife at the USA stuff. Hooks was saying that we may have the #1 class in 2020, that'd be the case if Boston Jr, Greg Brown, and Shariffe Cooper all went our way and I think that's what he was alluding to. They all just got done playing on team USA together.

Do you think this is still true even if Harper immediately declares after the tournament? Seems like that would change things. As someone else pointed out, definitely not 100% that Hagans declares - ESPN's most recent mock only has him at #41 overall.

JHoke followed up Cooper winning POY with this tweet: LINK
“Say hello to Jared Harper’s replacement, Sharife Cooper. He just won @USATODAY National Player of the Year. All Cooper did this year was average 29 points, 9 assists, six boards and four steals, notch four 40-point games, win a state title and go 32-0.”
No doubt he’s been watching this F4 run. Him and Okoro being such good friends (who is apparently also friends with Okeke) has to make us feel good about eventually landing him. Problem is if he reclassified to 2019 it means sweet Jared has to leave, or we miss out and he goes to UK.
FTR Steven Hooks also retweeted with the sunglasses emoji a couple times... Whatever that means.
