As good as LSU was last year, people on this forum seem to have completely forgotten how a huge portion of the fanbase wanted him fired a couple years ago.
A huge portion of the LSU fan base wanted Saban fired at several points too. That doesn't mean shite.

Congrats on going undefeated.
Once.
It's pretty sweet ain't it?
Oh... you wouldn't know.
And until Cam's year what did your other 2 undefeated seasons get you? No NC that's for sure. Congrats on your undefeated seasons and all but last I checked the goal at the beginning of the season is to win NC. I know it will piss Auburn fans off till the end of time how we won the NC with 2 losses but guess you gotta DWI.
I get why Auburn loves to brag about their undefeated seasons and all but personally I wouldn't trade the fact that we have more SEC Champships than you any day over undefeated seasons. Not to mention the fact that we have more wins all-time. But by all means, keep on gloating on your undefeated seasons that didn't win you any Championships.

They keep talking about undefeated seasons like you get a special trophy for it. It's pathetic.

Les is 75-18 as head coach of LSU
40-12 with jj/lee at qb
When people say LSU was already good when he got there, I can accept that. They also have gotten better since les has been at LSU and he left Oklahoma state in a great position. Look how awful they were when he got there. Les has been elite/good at two schools. Chiz has been very good/terrible at two schools.

Yup. That's why Gundy went 4-7 the year after Les left.

UAB was a bit of a cluster frick - the major backslide in 2002 had people doubting a bit (in spite of winning the SEC in 2001 people talked up doing it from a weaker SEC West)
Once 2003 got rolling? Obviously Saban was pretty well knighted in Louisiana

I agree...even though the SEC Title in 01 helped ease the pain of losing to UAB the year before....the way 2002 went, getting smoked by Va Tech, Auburn and Bama and then how we lost to Arkansas. There was already displeasure with Saban and then Roy Williams just manhandled us in the Cotton Bowl. There was a large portion of the fan base that wanted Saban's head.

I can't tell you LSU fans how you felt in Saban's early years, because I don't know.
But, that ill will towards Saban that might have occured in his early years in no way compares to the angst your fanbase felt for Les Miles "AFTER" he won a freaking national title for y'all.
Go back an read the thread.

^^
I don't remember ever seeing a huge LSU fan based that wanted Saban fired after he won LSU the NC. Unlike the fans that wanted Les booted only a couple of yrs ago.

LMAO @ other fans telling us how we felt
