The "Perfect Storm"...
1) More money
2) Better staff
3) The fact that he was successful everywhere else
4) Recruits in the South, which now is most rich in talent than any other part of the USA
5) State of Alabama is mainly Pro-Alabama
6) History and tradition of UofA is as good as it gets
7) He didn't have to rebuild Alabama as much as LSU
8) ESPN, and other sports sites, hype Saban and Alabama more than any other college
Alabama could pretty much recruit itself no matter what coach was there. Sure, some coaches brought it down, but they were still on par with Auburn as far as recruiting goes even before Saban was there and Alabama was in their "dark years". They just had bad coaching with those players.

I think it is Bama's cheating ways under Bear that gave them a winning tradition that is greater than LSU's.

He's just gotten better at what he does,he's not as conservative on offense and breaks tendencies much more now.The fact he was already known as a national championship coach, and program builder, plus ESPN slurping him all the time doesn't hurt recruiting.

IF I were a bama fan="its because he is at Bama)
Realistically- most coaches improve as they gain experience
what is the purpose of this thread?

Is it more wisdom, more money, better staff, better school? Take your fricking pick fellas.
I think having the REC do the "work" has made life alot easier on him to get the recruits he wants.

maybe because at LSU there were always rumors of him taking an NFL job.
He obviously doesn't have that now.
Plus, like most people, he has probably learned from experiences (LSU, NFL) that have made him a better coach.
He's making Alabama into a monster program with these recruits he's hauling in. Couldn't happen to a less deserving fan base. So it becomes fun to pull against them.

It's amazing what happens when you put the premier coach at the premier football program of the SEC.

More cheating resources and experience.

Better of everything you said except school. Kind of goes without saying. I still dont think he's a whole lot different. Though I'm glad he stopped dropping a game to some shite team once a year like he did at LSU and a little at Alabama.

The same reason he was better at LSU than Michigan State, I suppose.

Why is Saban even better at Bama than he was at LSU?
ESPN!! He had um swinging from his nuts from day one like Pete Carroll once did.

late entry.........
Saban was an unknown and had little experience when he came to LSU. The experience he gained from LSU and the crash at Miami made him a better coach.
It was more wisdom.......

Most likely influenced by daily televised blowjobs that Saban receives on ESPN....
