He's bigger, smarter, and stronger than Blackmon was. Dude is an absolute freak of nature.

Blackmon was actually pretty small...

I think he was 6' around 220 in his later years.

220 is on the high side. He played far bigger than he actually was. I hate that he didn't have the head for the game. He could have been great.

Yeah but he could fricking lay the wood (nohomo). Speaking of laying the wood, whatever happened to Jeff Luc? I remember his highlights were very similar to Blackmon and Foster's as far as hard hits.

Didn't live up to the hype at FSU and transferred to K-State. Apparently he was maxed out size-wise in HS and too stiff to be as good as everyone thought

Ha, Blackmon never made it to 6'0. He was 5'10.

Does Alabama getting another TE say anything about what OJ is telling the Bama Coaches.. The email continues to deliver....

John Garcia Jr. ?@JohnGarcia_Jr
2013 Durham (N.C.) Hillside 4-star TE Josh McNeil has committed to #Alabama

That was always the knock on him when he signed. Most thought he had bust written all over him because of this.

Not when O.J. is likely to see time at WR early on.

Word around the campfire is AU will be recruiting OJ for WR.

We actually have some amazing young TEs already in Fulse and Parks.

Amazing is a bit strong for Fulse. He has been on campus a year and yet to contribute.

Don't do this to yourself. I still feel bad for you the last time we went through this in the last few months.

OJ does not play the same position as McNeil. OJ=HB and McNeil=TE
If OJ were to flip it would not have anything to do with McNeil.

Where did I post OJ would flip due to McNeil? He will be playing WR at Auburn after he arrives next season.

Did I miss something? Since when is Bama recruiting OJ to play HB? I thought he was TE all the way?

He's too athletic to use as a typical TE. He will play more of an H-Back where they can get him in some favorable matchups where he can use his speed and size.

I wouldn't call any of the TE's we have on the team right now, with the exception of Burgess, who moved from OL, as a typical TE. They're all pretty athletic and can move around in the mold of an HBack. As long as they can block at the line, if needed, I prefer that. It allows you to put some wrinkles in the offense.
