Never posted on this section of site before but had to after seeing this name. I grew up in the town next door from where he coached in MA. Gonnella is one of the shadiest cats around. I do not like this hire at all. As soon as this came out I was hit up with like 7 texts from back up north calling it the begining of the end for tide lol .. He did leave a mess at miami and unc as history shows. Also ran into some problems at Tenn. However my take is you might need to be a lil shady to get top guys to unc but at bama they want to come. Besides Tide staff is already loaded with great recruiters so if Gonnella even started to be a lil loosie goosie Coach Saban would kick him to the curb. Anyways I enjoy reading this thread a couple times a week and thanks to all of you for keeping us updated on the future of the tide!

FTR, the only people allowed to recruit off campus are actual coaches not staff.

There's more to it than that. I think he oversees a lot of the recruiting process but he's not allowed to have contact with any recruits himself unless they are on campus.

my bad I was told that position also sets up all the visits with recruits so there must be a little contact.. I'm sure there is nothing to worry about as Coach Saban runs a tight ship. I only posted because I have friends who coached on his staff in MA and his reputation along with the track record of violations with teams he has been with is a concern.

TBH I don't know how the visits are set up. Maybe he does have contact in that capacity, IDK

Can't go wrong with either; took a chance on Graham in my FF league this past year...and it paid off ($$$)

This guy was pretty good too during his playing days...

How do you figure? The only one of those that I think he's completely wrong on is Adams. The rest all make sense.

I only make note of this because it's my Alma mater

Not really; UF does hold a lead but UGA is a close second right now and Tunsil won't make a decision until NSD. It's really not unfeasible that he ends up at UGA, especially if UF has another mediocre season and UGA wins the East again.

I think he's wrong, but Tunsil is still a UF-UGA battle. Either way, he wasn't trolling.

Team results are overrated in recruiting, year after year.
