Never posted on this section of site before but had to after seeing this name. I grew up in the town next door from where he coached in MA. Gonnella is one of the shadiest cats around. I do not like this hire at all. As soon as this came out I was hit up with like 7 texts from back up north calling it the begining of the end for tide lol .. He did leave a mess at miami and unc as history shows. Also ran into some problems at Tenn. However my take is you might need to be a lil shady to get top guys to unc but at bama they want to come. Besides Tide staff is already loaded with great recruiters so if Gonnella even started to be a lil loosie goosie Coach Saban would kick him to the curb. Anyways I enjoy reading this thread a couple times a week and thanks to all of you for keeping us updated on the future of the tide!

def pulling for the hogs.. all this BS about okie st and the tough big 12 .. hope the sec west 3rd place team puts a beating on the big 12 2nd place team. besides K st. played okie st very tough in stillwater so a beatdown by the hogs would be much enjoyed.

Not only do we have Bama at LSU already announced for primetime by cbs but the pac 12 schedule came out today and Oregon at USC will be the same day. That game has ABC/ESPN primetime written all over it and hopefully espn will move to 3:30 eastern to avoid competing with cbs. It would suck to have both games on at the same time. Those are likely your top 4 or 4 of the top 5 preseason next season.

interesting both bama sec east games on road but they get 4 of 6 west games at home.

here is what happened since last night when guru and others felt okie st was looking good. the thought was bama would only be ahead on 1 of 6 computers and since high and low are thrown out okie would be consensus #2 in computers.

However it now appears and has been reported by a few that bama is ahead in 2 computers (sagarin, wolfe) That means okie needs 37% of the vote instead of 25%.

That is why lsumatt gave the following earlier and jerry plam just reported this coaches result as bad for okie st. if coaches poll bama lead 15 or less okie st looks good, 15-30 real close, over 30 bama looks good..

Hope that helps the folks who had not been aware of info that changed from early morning.

While I agree Alabama is a media darling again since Saban got there if Bama had won first game espn would still be pushing hard for rematch. Despite people on this board saying the remtach =lower ratings the first games ratings were the highest on cbs in like 16 -17 years I recall. The casual fan, not the diehards like all of us know Alabama very few know okie st. Now espn will have a month to try and hype them and the fact most feel it wont be a competative game. Thats why they want a rematch. it's not anti lsu its def anti okie st. Now if the big 12 team was texas bama would not be recieving this espn love.

edwards has gone quiet typical .. remember the coaches poll will still be out around 1 ET as usual but if i recall the harris is not released before the selection show this week only.. I know it usually out around 3 or 4 ET.. The harris is where more switches to okie would come from.

sorry ranters i dont live on this board all day.. I checked back 6 pages and did not see anything on his decision date. It was mentioned on this link in an update posted earlier but all anyone talked about was if bama or usce were in lead.

Stupid me for not knowing that everyone on here already new he would not be making his choice on signing day or for not knowing anyone would be interested the top ranked player in country would not be selecting team then.
