Choosing Virginia Tech is going to cause a nuclear fallout from administrators, fans, and the media.

Even though they were underwhelming yesterday I think it sends a message to Boise State that they aren't going to make the big time until they play a real schedule. Herbie can take his Kellen Moore spiel somewhere else. Passing up K-State is probably harder to jusitfy.

Absolute attrocity. frick, Arkansas, South Carolina or UGA would've made better games against Michigan AND would've brought better crowds. frick this no more than 3 conference teams shite. If we're going to allow 2 teams in the same conference to rematch in the title game, why the frick not allow a 3rd deserving team into a SUgar Bowl over a pathetic Va Tech as an at-large?

Sugar Bowl? Look at the Orange Bowl, if that isn't one of the worst BCS contests of all time, I don't know what would be.

It was the Sugar Bowl committee that pleaded to get the players for Ohio State to play last year too.

Not as bad as 2007. Mizzou beat Kansas by 2 scores the last week of the regular season. Mizzou finished 11-1, Kansas 11-1. Oh but wait, Mizzou got to play in the Big 12 championship game vs Oklahoma (who had beaten them earlier). If Mizzou won, they would play for the national title.

Well Oklahoma won, went to the Fiesta Bowl, and the Orange Bowl selected????? Kansas. A team that had beaten a bunch of 1-AA teams and 2 teams with a winning record all season long.

VT is playing Clemson again on ESPNU right now. Maybe they'll fare better tonight.

Va Tech. How can they not appear in an unwatchable BCS bowl. It's tradition like the Lions on Thanksgiving.
