Plus Wilson is tough as shite. He's gotten the hell beaten out of him all year.
Wait until Friday.... He will eat more grass in T.S than Les Miles.

Not gonna lie, there was a time when I thought TM7 was the best football player I'd ever seen. I still like him and root for him to have big plays when not playing Alabama, but he is a little overrated. Shepard isn't overrated, everyone knows he isn't a good football player.

Since the Florida game, TM7 has been a nonfactor. He was on fire, smoked it and disappeared. Needs to come up big Friday

I think Lester and Barron for Bama can qualify.
I cannot remember the thread, but someone discussed the notion that these two are overrated simply because they are starting safeties for Bama. Specifically in Barron's case, there is a sense that he must be a great ball player since he has started for Saban, the "DB Guru", for so long. He is better by osmosis from Saban or something.
Its like getting 1st team All-SEC votes because you are a 5th year senior on the OL. Being around for a while doesn't make you great necessarily.

Barron isn't overrated. he's probably going to be a 1st round pick. he's really good. you could maybe say Lester is just based on all those INTs he had last year. Barron is better than Lester, i don't think any Bama fans would argue that.

Really? Before TM7 suspension he was tied for the sec lead in tackles. That's pretty good for a 170 nickleback

maybe for clowns that dont understand the game but tm7 has done plenty since returning. He hasn't been in the same positions and he hasn't gotten a turnover since uf but he is still making plays. He put bamas tightend down for the game on a flat play, he ran down trent saving a td, he caused 2 sacks on him rushing and getting up in the air to cause aj to hold the ball. he tipped a pass in wku that lead to a pick. he has also downed a few punts inside the 5. He hasn't had the normal highlight plays we saw the first half of the year but he is playing fine. this is the issue with defensive players if they aren't making huge plays every game and they aren't being torched you dont hear their name so you forget the good things they are doing.

I think Tyler Wilson is a close second and LSU will prove it on Friday.
Alabama didn't, and LSU won't.

I would say Bray is overrated only because he hasn't played against the big boys yet. That being said, he really was average against the only big six team (Georgia) he has faced.

To be overrated implies people rate that guy highly. No one rates Russell Shepherd that high.
I don't know if Matthieu's overrated. He's a good player. But personally I think Claiborne and Reid are LSU's best defensive backs.
