LSU said publicly (and now we know privately to Sankey) that they wouldn’t go against SEC rules.
Sankey got his feelings hurt by Lane poking fun at him and dragged the SEC into an embarrassing unwinnable suit against LSU. It didn’t even last 24 hours. That’s how bad the SEC got slapped down.

They will have to find some other avenue. Per the TRO, the SEC will be in contempt if they punish LSU in any way.

You realize the only standing order in place right now surrounding this says the SEC can do nothing to LSU at all in regards to these players.

LSU never hinted at going against SEC rules. Even stated that’s why they didn’t roster the players.
