The one-trick pony has worked with 3 stars on offense. So far anyways.
Actually their offense has gotten better IMO because they have done well recruiting that side, as opposed to the defensive side.
Ryan Mallett - 5*
Joe Adams - 4*
Jarius Wright - 4*
Tyler Wilson - 4*
Ronnie Wingo - 4*
Knile Davis - 4*
Brey Cook - 4* (Supposedly starting on their OL this year as FR)
They have gotten a good pool of talented skill level players on offense and we've seen the offense just explode. They've certainly had some 3* come up big too (Greg Childs for one), but the big difference has been the much better recruiting on that side of the ball landing these bigger players.

Conversely, LSU was at or near dead last in overall Offense.
Crowton JJ Combo
Ridley still rushed for 1000+

Sao, I have Arky playing South Carolina in the SEC Championship game this year. Good luck on the season. Don't beat Auburn too bad when we come to town...

Again, stats rule here. Apparently you have to be a Two Trick pony to win the SEC and LSU would be the current definition of the One Trick Pony.
Not Arkansas. Stars, be damn.

Would you stfu ?
Arkansas replaces a QB their Oline , no defense, Petrino always lacks defense, and you have them winning the west? Based on what ? Their overrated system WR's that wouldn't crack most teams starting 3?

Then, how do you account for Arkansas moving from one of the worst rated D's in the SEC to one of the Top 5 in 2010?
Top 5? Arkansas finished 7th in scoring defense in the SEC in 2010...unless you consider yards more important than points

I've seen this one too many times, it's because Arkansas returns a ton. PRe-season lists go on experience more than anything and that's something Arkansas returns more of than most teams in the SEC.
So, based on you logic then a team that lost every game the year before but return all 22 starters will be highly ranked the next year? Help us understand that rationale.

and that only happens in cases like last offseason where the defense had finished worse in points than yards

You must be fishing. Arky's defense is improved. Their replaced QB is head and shoulders above anything LSU will put on the field this year (unless it's Mett), their offensive line will be fine, and they have the best set of WRs in the nation to settle in a QB. Arky vs USCe, SECCG.

I see you failed to quote the part where I specifically said PRODUCTIVE starters. Good try though.

Pank , refresh my memory. Didn't Winston commit to Nutt, decommitt from Petrino, and finally reverbal and sign with Petrino? Sounds like Petrino nearly lost what Nutt had had worked hard to get.

he committed to petrino, decommitted to petrino, and recommitted to petrino despite yancy porter's prognostications otherwise. so it more sounds like petrino got and retained what nutt was working so hard to take away.

So, One Trick?
But 12th and 1st is Two Trick?
Got it.
