Auburn...Sick and disgusted

A huge embarrassment not only to the S.E.C, but to college football in general.
Corrupt good ole boys that will do anything to win. Corrupt ministers that will sell their own son for a little bit of money. A delusional fan base that doesn't care. Just be "all in".
It won't be worth it and those that are "all in" now are fools.
We will all be tarnished by this, but I hope and pray that Auburn is tarnished beyond recognition.

....IF it's proven they did it.
If not, I'll be the first to say I apologize.
If not, I'll be the first to say I apologize.

In the end, I just don't think they will find what they are looking for to have a case. I know that eleven fan bases are praying that it comes down but you need to look at the bigger picture here and accept the fact that Auburn needs to be cleared and move on.

This mentality that makes everyone hope and pray for Auburn's demise.

Well, the SEC is sick, disgusted and embarrassed of having you as part of its fanbase.

I actually have a question... it's been covered again and again but I've been talking to some people about it and it's made me wonder about the truth of what I'm reading... if Cecil Newton was ABSOLUTELY soliciting money from MSU, does that make Cam Newton ineligible automatically? People keep saying it does, but is that the actual rule?

They have waaaaaaay more info than they need to "have a case." People have been executed for murder in Alabama with far less evidence than this.

I'll go to the top of the highest nearby mountain and scream at the top of my lungs that AU and Newton are innocent.

Yes this is the rule but the NCAA does each situation case by case. I read somewhere that the NCAA has never actually declared a player ineligible if the investigation finds that the player had no knowledge of the situation.

i think it is going to be extremely hard to prove that Cam had no knowledge of the scheme -- especially considering that it was his father who was representing him. maybe if it was like someone he didn't know. but his father?

I would be sick and disgusted too if my team let up 440 on the ground.

Sure glad I am not an Auburn fan. We win our NC's without cheating!

possible but unlikely. look at the facts only...
1-3 MSU sources have gone public with statements Cecil Newton asked them for money to sign Cam
2-Cecil Newton admits above
3-CBS, ESPN, NYT, MSN and others have reported on above and other allegations
4-FBI is investigating
5-Auburn signed Cam after MSU declined payment
you really have no idea what they're going to find; you just are holding out hope. i understand that but the FBI being in the picture is major bad news for ya'll any way you slice it. they don't get involved with simple pay for play stuff; that's the NCAA's job. yes, there are tons of rumors, many of which may not be true but many which man be true. after tuberville left, auburn reassociated itself with pat dye and the "colonial bank gang". these guys are either known rule breakers (dye) or shady characters at the least. to me, that's probably the FBI connection right there. colonial took a lot of federal money. since louder was the #1 stockholder in colonial his board of directors were auburn boosters. in there phones were tapped, virtually all of the rumors are probably true. however, the facts stated above are enough for a reasonable and objective person to conclude Auburn University is in big trouble. noone, except blindly loyal auburn apologists, believes that Cecil Newton shopped his son to MSU but let Auburn have him for free. it is extremely difficult to take a substantial bribe and hide it, especially from the IRS or the FBI. the minute it is spent is the minute it gets discovered. with the relatively recent money laundering laws, cash expenditures are under the microscope.
