FWIW, when asked by the UT AD, Kiffin did say that he would be very interested in the USC job if they offered him. It was several days before it was offered. Not sure that really helps his case, but at least he didn't lie about it.

I needed to add J Frank Broyles to my list, but he really wasnt coaching when he started his stuff with running people out of town or not following through on promises.

Yeah, backstabbing ADs should be another thread.

I really don't know how Saban can be ahead of Kiffin
Kiffin is not only out of division but out of conference. They are not fighting for the same recruits/beating Tennessee in games etc...

Imagine if he kept the Johnson promise to bring him back home from oSu. Good lord that would have been dangerous.

I thought some of OSU's violations were from before Johnson's tenure there?
Kuhn just hit a home run, Hogs up 6 to 4.
Edit to update score.

They were from Pat Jones and the guy before Johnson. I was saying dangerous because Johnson would have recruited like a mad man and gotten some really good players out of Texas, like the OU talent.
He may not have lasted though on sencond thought, the way J Frank meddled, see Jones as an example.

After what both Saban and Petrino did I would think to myself "How could I trust these guys if I were a recruit" I guess some people have a short memory. With these two it all boils down to what do you despise more? A liar or a deserter? Meh, I could flip a coin.
What Tubbs did to Ole Miss wasn't any better. Atleast everyone knew beforehand Kiffen was gonna bolt for greener pastures.

What part did Auburn play in contacting Petrino behind Tuberville's back?
What does that have to do with Petrino not being a piece of shite? They were as well...
