The year after he left...we were in Auburn and Ole Miss pulled off the victory over him. It was a good game. Remember watching it on tv. Tuberville still makes trips to Oxford every offseason. He has some hunting land outside of Oxford he still hunts.

it's hard to deny your obsession when you are constantly bickering with/flaming arkansas fans

wondering why you're obsessed, you seem to be skirting the question

Don't knock on Ole Miss...I'm actually a big fan of Auburn. Hell I'll probably be cheering a lot for Auburn this season. But he did the exact same thing as what Petrino and Kiffin did. He left in the middle of the night without any warning.

I'm just messing, but I do agree that he could have handled that situation much better. Definitely wasn't his finest hour. However, and it's been along time since it happened so I can't remember, but didn't he wait until after the season was over? Kiffin waited until the season was over as well.

Franchione didn't even tell his players, he basically hitched a ride out of Tuscaloosa at midnight in some dude's trunk. Did he even leave a note like Petrino did? I don't think so. I'm long past over it now but at the time I thought he was a good coach.

He left the night of the Egg Bowl. Pretty much told the players he was gone in the locker room after the game. His office was cleared out the next morning. He still had a bowl game and he left his players.

So since they're argue with me, they're obsessed too. And you're arguing with me now.. So that makes you obsessed.

That's using your logic.

yea...that WAS pretty F'ed up. But I can't say I blame him. Our Administration literally gave him the in regards to actually advancing our athletic departments.

Are you saying Petrino isn't a backstabber?

Cause he is. And so is Kiffin. I guess i'm obsessed with Kiffin too for asking which one is the worst?

Explain your rationale as to why Petrino is a "backstabber".

Because he went behind Tuberville's back to replace him as HC, when Tubs was the one who hired him.

I really don't know how Saban can be ahead of Kiffin. Maybe if he left LSU straight for Tuscaloosa.

I think Kiffin's the worst, because he knew that his leaving would immediately derail Tennessee.

he actually had just been given an expansion and the plans of the SEZ were in discussion during the 2008 season. They were trying with him. Yeah...leaving was the good move for him in the end though. But he should have done it more professionally. I actually like Tuberville as a coach. He is damn good. It wouldn't have been bad if he would have said he was leaving when asked the first time.

I don't think much of Chizik, but I think he's better than Petrino.

I still think you should have hung on to Tubs, but that's just my opinion.

He wasn't working for Tubberville and had no obligation to him. Why is that backstabbing?

I'll give you boys a hint, if you get an offer to make more $$$ and join a better organization, you listen to the offer. That's not backstabbling.

Kinda like Tenn. when Fulmer was fired.

At that time any coach who Auburn Administrator's had reached out to interview would have. Your administrations hands are just as dirty as Petrino's was.

naahh...yall needed to keep Tuberville. he was very successful at Auburn. He just made one mistake in hiring that OC. Though Chizik is actually doing really well right now. Props to him.
