When Jerry Jones cleans house, Saban will probably be on his short list. Jones would love to make another Jimmy Johnson type of hire, and Saban's ego and wallet won't be able to resist the temptation.

Tried it once and it didn't work. He's not going anywhere.

What, in all that has happened SINCE he ran off J Johnson, leads you to believe this?

lsu/SEC fans would love nothing more than for Saban to leave. Is it fear, or jealousy?

Are there people actually talking seriously about this? Saban couldn't win in the NFL the first time. By all indications he didn't enjoy it there. Why would anyone actually believe he would take another shot at it - and why does anyone believe an owner would want to give him that shot? Makes absolutely no sense.

After some pretty bad recent coaching hires and no playoff wins in over a decade, Jerry needs to change the way he operates. You have Cowher, Dungy, Chucky and Shanahan all out of coaching right now. Each of them has at least one Superbowl ring and plenty left in their tanks. All of these guys are an upgrade from the pantload currently on that sideline. Jerry needs to make a serious run at Cowher and tell him that he will let Cowher run the team the way he wants it run. And then he needs to get out of the way.

There are too many qualified NFL head coaches available right now to resurrect a failed college-to-pro experiment.

Another fine example of the pathetic obsessed LSU fan living for the day that Saban leaves Alabama.

IMO, no way. Jones would probably want him, but Saban is clearly a Type A coach that demands total control. Jones is a Type A egomaniacal owner billionaire. You think Saban would put up with Jones roaming the sidelines telling him what plays to run?

The last great coach to coach Dallas was Parcells, and he couldn't deal with Jones. They will only attract understated figurehead coaches like Campo, Phillips, maybe Les Miles??? Jones is the owner and coach, always will be.

Alabama 1 NY Giants 0 (Ray Perkins)
Alabama 2 Miami 0 (Bear refusing to go, Nick Saban)
Tampa Bay 1 Alabama 0

Bama is 3-1 against the NFL. It won't happen.

Why do people keep saying this? Why would a franchise looking to rebound hire a guy who was a complete failure as a pro coach? He is a great college coach, and that is where he is staying.

Saban to the Cowboys makes zero sense. If Jerry Jones ever gives up some power, it's going be to a proven NFL commodity, a coach that's had a long track record of success. Someone like a Bill Cowher or Tony Dungy, NOT a Nick Saban or Jim Harbaugh.

I think Saban is more likely to go to Penn St. rather than back to the NFL.

I'm still waiting for the list with Saban's name on it. So far, all the lists I've heard don't have him anywhere near it.
