What makes you LSU fans who are continuing to bitch about the int. think J. Lee would have driven the ball 65 yds. on our defense?

Not trying to flame, I completely agree it was an int. but want to know if you honestly think this was a possibility?

Your losses were to #1 and #2 teams in the BCS, that's pretty solid right there

That was part of the game plan. It was a rope a dope strategy. Then the blown int phucked it all up.

Seriously, o was getting shut down. J Lee was scared shitless of throwing a pick 6, at least that is what I thouhgt.

The fact that your go ahead touchdown came on one simple wide receiver screen for 73 yards.

you never know what would have happened. it would have been nice for LSU to have been in that position though.

ETA..lee made two passes in that game that picked up huge yrds. one was called back due to a penalty, the other was 3rd and 25, LSU picked up 20.

Once again you miss the point. The oppurtunity is all that couldve been asked for and we were denied. Would we have scored... Probably not but being afforded the chance on such an obvious play is very frustrating to say the least.

I was listening in too lol. Thought about posting that fact. Alas, you beat me to it! I was impressed by that until I realized their big guns had been rendered useless by that point in the ball game.

With 5 minutes we had plenty of time and then some to mix it up to go only 65 yard. Being down by 6 points is alot different than 9. Also, an INT gives much better field position than a punt. Asking JLee to throw 80 yards with 2 minutes left and score twice is quite the opposite!

How do you get yards when refs blow a call and give the ball back to the Bama offense and LSU stays on defense?

He drove 59 yards on his first drive, and was not at fault for the horrible call on 3rd and 1 on his second drive after he completed his only pass on 1st down.

When LSU had to predictably pass, he got in trouble, but it's not like a long TD drive was impossible if LSU had more time.

Iagree with you but I would much rather of had the shot and failed than being wrongly denied the shot. thats what i bitch about when i talk about it, not how it cost us the game. you will understand though when this shite happens to you in he SECCG as the SEC will make sure its poster child gets back to the national championship

I agree. It was a horrible call for the replay guy not to have overturned the call. Have no idea what he was drinking.

But its a stretch to assume LSU would have scored a TD. Had we not roughed the punter, none of this happens. Still even if we had scored, its fair for the Alabama fans to speculate Tiffen would have made a fg.

Of course it is a possiblity....

Just like JJ and his one play all day. Just because he was shut down all day, does not mean you dont keep trying.

Your loss will be to the number 1 team as well.

RockyStop, you just don't understand. Our beef is with the refs taking the opportunity out of our hands. If the interception stands, Bama is only up by six. You don't kick the FG to go up by nine and it's a different ballgame. LSU wouldn't have been forced to score twice to win.

True, LSU had nine yards in the 4th quarter but could anyone guarantee LSU couldn't have driven the ball in for a TD or at the least a FG? A pass play similar to Julio Jones' TD could have occurred against Alabama.

The issue is that we will never know if we could have pulled the game out. Momentum would have changed over to LSU.

LSU has been a victimized by the striped shirts numerous times in recent years. A great example is the LSU-Auburn game in '06.

I think it absolutely was a possibility. Not a probability but certainly a possibility. Alas, we will never know because the refs, not your defense robbed us of any chance.

I don't think LSU would've drove the 65 yards. But, they deserved their chance to..and not the airtight denial of any chance that Bama lose that game late.

Bama the slightly better team, and the bye week and legs late in the game, were huge factors..

None of which alibis habitually poor SEC officiating blunders, which year after year favor it's lead BCS horses that Fall..LSU included some years.

Probably the same reason why some gumps, including you, still whine about the non-pass interference call in 2004. Bama had 196 yards total offense and EIGHT first downs for the entire game and lost 26-10 but the gump whining continues. So to answer your question, I like LSU's chance at midfield with a six point deficit much more than bama's chances in 2004. Bama was also issued an apology by the SEC after that game. I believe some midol and tampoms were given out too.

Also if you want to go back in time, then go back to 99 when Josh Booty got tackled at the goal line and the clock ran out after the referees signaled to stop it. Yeah this happened at bama. There was a season ending injury to a bama player on that play. The clock should have stopped, but it didn't. The pussy referees just ran off the field. LSU should have had at least one more play with a six point deficit on bama's one yard line.

Maybe we still wouldn't have won, but we at least deserve an apology from the SEC for that debacle Saturday. It would have been the noble thing to do, but Slive and co. are a bunch of chickenshites.
