Got four together in section 242, row B, with seat backs. Also have parking pass in lot 409. Let me know how to get in touch if still interested.

Hard tickets and parking pass in hand in Baton Rouge.
Interested if they are still available

Go to McKissock dot com. There are tons of online courses. Certificates are emailed to you.
Our company has a suite in tiger stadium. When we got the email about the shortage of tickets we called our main ticket contact at LSU who is supposed to be one of the top people in the ticket department. We were told that our company MIGHT get two tickets, and we are in the top 150 TAF members. We were also told that LSU was allotted 3,000 tickets in sections 119-125 and 132 including the band and families. Next year Texas will be allotted 3,000 tickets in tiger stadium all in the upper deck.

Back then we purchased 8 seats together in one of the LSU sections on Vivid Seats for a little over $400 each including taxes and fees. This was the cheapest ticket back then. They are higher now.

It certainly matters considering that TOPS only covers tuition and has for a long time. That's how they can say that TOPS is fully funded even though it still costs an extra $2k out of pocket to enroll.

Exactly correct!

For those wondering how it breaks down, below is the itemized charges for this coming fall semester only for my daughter. This does not include room and board or meals.

Tuition $4,023.30
Academic Excellence Fee $245.00
Building Use Fee $48.00
Greek Life $67.00
Operational Fee $80.00
Required Activity Fees $637.70
Registration Fee $10.00
Student Excellence Fee $857.00
Technology Fee $75.00
Motor Vehicle Registration Fee $165.00
Chemistry Deposit $20.00

Total= $6,228.00
TOPS pays $3,931.49 and she is on the high end of it.
I grew up in a house in North Baton Rouge right off of Plank Road too. The AAs mostly lived in Scotlandville area in the 60's back when I was a young little fart.
I got to the third page of reading replies before I found what I think is really your best answer. I went through this with my dad. If a doctor is about to tell him that he can't drive, then let the doctor be the bad guy. If you are sure that the doctor will say this, then tell him he can drive as long as the doctor says it is OK. Once the doctor says no then you are not the one who is enforcing this on him.
All these guys telling you that it is not really him talking to you anymore are correct. Dementia is a terrible disease. Yes getting old sucks.
Good luck with this. My dad finally passed away last year. His birthday is Christmas Eve. He would have been 91 this year. Be grateful for the 50 years of good memories and realize that you are doing the right thing. Prayers sent.

Ole Greg,
My dad passed away last year and my mom gave me a few of his old things. In one box were some old LSU football programs. I'm sure the one for the game when Billy Cannon made his run-back against Ole Miss is in there, and I believe that the entire set of programs for the 1959 season may all be there along with some from other seasons.

My dad was there for the 1959 Ole Miss game. He had season tickets even before I was born. I have them now and sit in the same seat as he did. Your old stuff sure brings back memories. Thanks for sharing.

Do you have an idea of how valuable the entire set of programs for the 1959 season would be?

Howard was the best high school player IMO I ever saw until Randy Livingston. I played with him on the aau circuit a long time ago. He was unstoppable when he got it going. Moon Griffin was good but he was never in Howard's league.

Howard was the best high school player I ever saw. He was state MVP as a sophomore.

As far as the Lyles boys go Ted was the Basketball player in that family not Dale, he was a baseball player.

Not totally true--Ted was the scorer. Dale was the better defensive player. I played on the team and was a junior when the Lyles brothers were seniors. You didn't want Dale guarding you. He could shut down a point guard as well as anyone I've ever seen in high school ball.

I remember playing in an alumni game CHS-RHS like in 1985 and it was a war. The gym was packed just like the days when we would play them in that cracker box at RHS. We will never see a rivalry in BR like that ever. CHS won by like 3 in front of packed house and the RHS guys wouldn't even shake our hands..

A bit of a stretch--I played in three alumni games including a couple of years before when RHS won at Catholic. I can assure you that there was no plan for us not to shake hands. We were probably too tired to realize that we were supposed to.

the CHS-RHS rival was unbelievable during the 70's-early 80's high school bb in br has never been like that since, thanks to the busing. Hi-C was great

Agreed!

Went in 2007. The CNN center was definitely happening. Going to be there tomorrow. It's only a few blocks away from the dome.
To former LSU basketball player Duane "Disco D" DeArmond. Noone could ask for a better friend or tiger fan.

I spoke to him a few days before he passed away and made him promise me two things. First, to say hello to my deceased sister whenever he got to heaven. He said "yes". The second was to see to it that LSU would win the BCS national championship every other year. He paused and said "Well we'll have to see about that one."

RIP Big D. I know you'll be watching.
