Including a puke bag in each seat is a great idea.

We’re definitely playing catch up in the stadium upgrades…but no doubt the game atmosphere at Jordan-Hare blows bama away.

It's awesome but the real upgrade will be putting a winning product on the field. Hope Golesh gets it done.

You are correct that JHS sounds significantly louder on tv than BDS. Not sure why. Sounds louder than most stadiums tbh. I'd say that Ben Hill-Griffin is comparable, and Williams-Brice at times. Kyle Field, and Neyland are probably louder because they have more seats. I think that JHS is louder than Tiger Stadium.

This adds roughly 3,365 seats so we will eclipse 90k

Video was very drawn out.

320 million for that little to do with football relevant upgrades is a steep bill. Multi-event centers should be tax supported by Tuscaloosa dollars.

I make no secret about how much I hate Auburn with ever fiber of being. So, it hurts me to say it, but that is one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a football game. I love it.

They greatly curtailed what could be used on the screens during opposing team field goals.

Bama and UGA were built with lower bowls that fan outward from the field rather than angle more vertically (as in BHG, Neyland, Tiger Stadium, etc). Makes for great sight lines but hampers the acoustic ability. Hence Bama and Texas both have more or less bowled in their stadiums with over 100k seats and still can’t produce the same consistent deafening volume as seats with a more vertical seat incline; it’s not acoustically able to trap sound.

Which isn’t to say Bama, UGA, and Texas can’t be loud stadiums. But the fanbases have to work harder for longer to match what more acoustically-able stadiums can produce.

Jordan Hare has a lot of lower bowl seats and it is steep. That’s why it’s so loud.

I went to Tuscaloosa a few years ago and the lower bowl is much smaller and it fans out instead of going more vertical. A huge chunk of the seats in BDS are way up in the air in the upper decks which makes it not as loud. Auburn has a much larger concentration of fans closer to the field and the sounds is trapped better because the structure doesn’t fan outwards as much.

Other teams complained and the SEC/NCAA got it outlawed. It actually wouldn’t bother a good kicker. Just funny to see for fans.

When the product on the football field is awful, you have to constantly manufacture "atmosphere" to entice fans, or your entire athletic program falls apart.

People getting master's degrees at Auburn right now have never experienced a winning season on campus.
