What do you know about jail cells at your football stadiums?

I read years ago that Jordan Hare has a regulation holding cell somewhere for law enforcement to use for arrests. Never saw a picture and don’t know where it is located in the building, nor do I have any other details.

An unusual topic. Does your stadium have a cell?

I would assume every stadium has some sort of holding cell before people arrested during the game can be moved to the actual jail.

I think all stadiums have them, requried to past a certain capacity prob. They are there to let you sober up I think.

SC took ours out of Williams-Brice and purpose built a new hoosegow to the east in the parking lot next to SCETV ... they did that five or six years ago.

It's a nice jail ... used primarily for drunk students but sometimes as a holding pen for rowdy visitors.

It almost always fills up when the sheep humping sister banging taterheads are in town.

I am sure they all have some sort of holding area but the SEC has nothing on the Germans.

The Westfalenstadion (Signal Iduna Park) in Dortmund has a home and away holding cell that can hold up to 130 people in each.

Didn’t the old veterans stadium in Phil have like a sure enough central lockup somewhere in the stadium? Seems like I rem hearing of seeing something about that - like in the 80s or something - every Sunday it’s was pretty active

European soccer fans (at least the ultras) are basically street gangs masquerading as team supporters, so yeah, I imagine their stadiums all need to have ample police facilities.

Auburn's is under the stadium under the endzone. I've seen it as my freshman year my roommate threw up on a cop's shoe going into the stadium and he arrested him for public intoxication. We followed them trying to get the cop to let him go but when we got to the jail area under the stadium they told us to get lost, he was not going to be let go.

I have never seen jail cells at Kyle Field but I am sure they have a few. I have seen plenty of LOLSU fans hauled out in handcuffs. Maybe one of them will confirm it for us.

yes - of course it was Philly - think it was known as the 700 Club -

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WHTM) – Eagles’ fans are known for being passionate about the birds, which can sometimes lead to heated situations. Tensions got too high one game and resulted in the Eagles installing a jail in the stadium.

The 2022 season NFC Champions played at Veterans Field from 1971 to 2003 before moving to Lincoln Financial Field. The jail was first established at Veterans Field.

In week 11 the San Francisco 49ers traveled to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. The 49ers won the game 24-12 and the Eagles trailing during the game didn’t sit well with their fans.

One fan went to extreme measures, firing a flare gun across the stadium at 49ers fans. The incident resulted in the decision to place a jail inside Veterans Stadium.

A judge, Seamus McCaffery, ruled over the court at the stadium for a long time. Fans who misbehaved usually pleaded guilty, paying a $150-$300 fine and occasionally having to do community service. In the last year of the Veterans Stadium jail, more than 300 NFL fans were arrested.

The Eagles jail was moved to Lincoln Stadium with the team in 2003. The court was not brought back. In the first year of the new location, they arrested 79 people. The jail only stayed open two years at Lincoln Financial Field as the behavior of the fans improved.

I've been in the one in the Superdome, never been to the Tiger Stadium one. Have been asked to leave though.
