That's pretty awesome. If it was in BR, I would probably go. Loved playing the game when I was younger.

Hmmm.

Let’s see.

South Alabama.
June 9.

Iceland ain’t gonna like this.
Not saying that Argentina is Colombia-hot, but it ain’t Iceland.

Eta
Wait. I’m a dumbass.

Their climates are the same in June.

He's 38. If he decides to play in the WC, I would imagine he'll spend the leadup resting.

Still cool though, Argentina is still loaded with world class players

Argentina plays Honduras at Kyle Field on June 6. We had a Mexico vs. Brazil friendly two years ago and even though it didn't quite fill the place (85,000), the traffic from Houston was pretty bad, as we had a lot of people who weren't familiar with traffic and parking in CS make the trip, but that's one reason why you host these things (for the exposure).

I actually think he will play a half of this one. He’s going to play in one of the 2 tune up games to some extent and if I were Argentina I would not play him against Honduras. Honduras plays a dirtier concacaf style so I would play him against Iceland. This is all assuming he’s fully healthy going in of course.

they need to let the eagle fly for that...im going to try to go. WC tickets are wayyyyy too expensive and this would be a nice one to watch.

I think you’re right, it would be against Iceland. But he’s for sure gonna play in some capacity in one of those matches in the lead up to the WC. Would be cool to see him play in CS tho

Manchester United and Liverpool. The game was sold out. I'd have to back and find it, but no bullshite one of the big sells for them to come was our flashing garnet lights during Sandstorm.

Somewhat surreal to see Liverpool practice on campus:
