Do you guys prefer the conference series starting on Thursday and ending Saturday or do you prefer it starting on Friday and ending on Sunday?

I prefer Friday-Sunday because it gives me something to watch on the weekend but I’m not opposed to watching competitive ball on Thursday either.

I noticed it a lot more this year than last year, how that always been a thing or is this relatively new how often series are starting on Thursday now?

Friday-Sunday. They play past my bedtime on Thursday nights.

I’d prefer some series start on Thursday, some on Friday and some on Saturday.

Midweek > Series

Monday > Th, Fri, Sat
Tuesday > Fri, Sat, Sun
Wednesday > Sat, Sun, Mon

Rinse and repeat

SEC games every day

I like the Fri-Sun series but in order to see more baseball games I am not opposed to the Thur-Sat series.

Thursday-Friday. For the most part, weekday sports broadcasting this time of year is a barren wasteland. Having a SEC baseball game on would be the best watch available most Thursdays.

Typically, you're going to play a minimum of two Thursday-Saturday series: (1) Easter (yes, there are always one or two exceptions); and (2) the final series (no exceptions). Beyond that, it's up to TV. The most I can remember A&M playing "off" schedule was four. This year, we just have the two (thanks to cratering in 2025, we were not in high demand for TV).

As someone who drives into CS just for baseball, having a Thursday-Saturday series on a regular weekend isn't my preferred option, as I'm out of the office for a full extra day. Now, on Easter, we close for Good Friday anyway, and I understand why they do it the final weekend, too, but it's very irritating when it happens just because TV wants a Thursday night game.

When I have a chance to watch baseball, just happy that espn+ will have a game on somewhere.

For LSU games, I make time. Often watch the replay if I can’t watch live.

Doesn't make a heck of a lot difference to me. Having said that I do find myself channel surfing to find SEC baseball on Thursday nights. Has the conference done away with the time limit on Sundays...no inning started after X time. Seems that has come into play on Sundays in the past.

Games on the linear TV channels (SECN, ESPN, ESPN2, etc) are exempt from the curfew. It still applies to games that are only streamed on SEC+

Friday to Sunday, but would be ok with an occasional Friday with a doubleheader on Saturday as well.

One of my favorite things about joining this conference is the fact that they have a couple of weekend conference series that start on Thursdays each week. I prefer the Fri-Sun series for my own team generally, but it's also fun to see an occasional Th-Sat series for a little variety.

Agreed with respect to college sports.

I think I could go with...
2 series Thursday
4 series Friday
2 series Saturday

Like to see it tried for a season. All midweek games on Tuesday except the teams that started Saturday. They'll need cooperation from opponents to move to Wednesday. Maybe get some cooperation from the better non-SEC teams for Wednesday games. ESPN should have an incentive to sweeten those games.

It's fine as it is. Start a series or two on Thursday the rest on Friday. Works great that way. (Easter being the exception).

Having a series start on Saturday and finish on Monday is kind of a non-starter because a Monday night game means the road team gets back home in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, if they fly charter. You want to play your getaway game during the day time, unless it's on a Saturday.

I really don’t have a preference. I will watch baseball or go to the game whenever possible.
