As is tradition in the Cohen house, John Cohen has neutered Auburn athletics. Eventually he and Nell will get all the toxic masculinity stomped out or chopped off.

Neutered is putting it politely.

In the past 12 months Alabama is 8-1 against Auburn in the 6 most watched sports: football, basketball, baseball, softball, gymnastics, and women’s basketball. The only blemish was a loss in women’s basketball.

I am not saying it is related, but Alabama is currently looking for a new women’s basketball coach.

April 5 will mark one year since Auburn has beaten Alabama in a men’s sport.

At least WBB was somehow able to split with Alabama.

Aside from that, April 5 would be one year since beating Alabama in virtually any sport.

A fun John Cohen fact. John Cohen became Auburn’s athletic director on Halloween. Auburn officially hired him in 10/31/2022.

It was appropriate, Auburn athletics have been a horror show ever since.

I remember Auburn fans crowing about how they "stole" Cohen from us. We tried to warn y'all. "Sour grapes", they said. We all see who was right now don't we Aubie?

If you are going to troll, at least get your facts straight. Auburn is 1-0 against Alabama in WBB.

The guy has the be feeling the heat. We are at an all-time low vs Bama and UGA. If Golesh doesn’t end up being a home run hire (and Cohen got lucky at that) then his days are numbered.

I don’t expect us to be in the running for the playoff because I don’t think we have the talent, but I do expect Auburn will look prepared and fight to the end in football. Something that was sorely missing from the Freeze teams (which say to me that Cohen didn’t do his homework).

If Golesh is successful (and every other team continues to suck) then he will have a lot of say about who will replace Cohen.

Auburn will definitely be better in football with Golesh as head coach. At least tougher for sure.

Thank you for this clarification. I guess that explains why our WBB coach was shipped down to USF.

Cohen performed a thorough evaluation process when he considered Hugh Freeze for HC, roughly 40 boxes were "checked" in Hugh's favor.

Hugh pitched a perfect used car salesman to Cohen and even though no other program in the country wanted him, he was a perfect "fit" at Auburn. Cohen did his due diligence when considering Freeze, there was just no way of knowing Hugh would be in over his head at a job of Auburn's caliber or that he couldn't coach the talent he acquired to translate to wins on the field.

The only “perfect fit” for Freeze at Auburn was his custom-made golf clubs.
