No, Will Wade did not play high school basketball. According to reports, he played golf and was a four-year student manager for his high school basketball team at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville. He went on to become a college student manager

I'm pissed off enough that we hired our second football coach that didn't play in college.

What a dumb sentiment. Many good coaches did not play the sport at least on a high level.
