He just needed change. You could see it on him he gained weight and looked done but he’s back to loving it again

Didn't he win at UK....A ton...seems just like he needed a low pressure job and Arky offered that and a ton of money as well. Imagine the pressure at Kentucky compared to Arky....Arky fans are just happy if they have a winning record in Basketball.

Yes, Kentucky is well-known as a school that doesn't take basketball seriously and won't give coaches the tools they need to win.

Cals first 5 yrs were tremendous here.
Cals next 5 were rock solid, but not as good, because others started getting in on the OAD philosophy.
His final stretch here was THE WORST NON PROBATION FOUR YEAR STRETCH in Kentucky history.
You people who come on here and act like UK fans were the problem are clueless. He won NINE TOTAL GAMES one season. frickING NINE. AT KENTUCKY.
He lost to Richmond. Oakland. St Peters. Evansville. Etc.
He quit showing up for press conferences. He quit doing his coaches show. He quit landing top recruits. He was constantly smarmy. He changed.
No, the problem wasn't Kentucky fans. The problem was he got fat, happy and complacent and lost his drive to succeed.
I don't care if he's successful at Arkansas because he was never going to get his head out of his arse and back in gear staying in Lexington. We're glad he's gone. Not our fricking problem anymore.

Cal's problem in those final years was relying on all those one and done freshman to mostly carry his teams.
