Georgia is at 24 years and counting. If that's not the record, it has to be close.

But today's the day dammit, I can feel it!

This thread does not meet minimum quality standards for this esteemed board. Please list the stats for the other 15 teams as that would actually be pretty interesting. I leave you with this: do better.

which is bullshite since our 2003 team was maybe the best we've ever put on the floor and would have undoubtedly won at least a couple but were never givne the chance.

I fully realize that we'd still be at like 23 years, but hey that's less than 24.

We've also kinda had some rotten luck with seeding. Last year we played a gonzaga team that had no business being seeded that low and was ranked in the top 5 like half the year. Fox's first appearance we got a woefully underseeded MSu that ended up in teh final 4.

Ole Miss's first ever NCAAT win wasn't until 1999. The NCAAT started in 1939

St. Louis looks like they are ready. Might be tough for Magical Mike White to break that streak.

OP said 64 team expansion, so I am guessing we are looking for longest droughts starting with the 1985 tournament.

UF's first win was 1987, but '87 and '88 were vacated. So our first official win was also first year we went to F4 - 1994. So I guess 1985 to 1994 for UF

if that's the case, South Carolina went from 1985 until their final four run in 2017. Their previous NCAAT win before that 2017 run was in 1973.

That win was vacated by the NCAA no less you have to go back to 1996 to find your last non vacated tournament win so technically you can have 30 years to your credit

Cal had the longest drought for UK. 2019 last win, next win 2023. Then lost first game 2024.

One win in five years.

I was going for crowdsourced knowledge and wasn't trying to do a bunch of free labor and show off all the research I wasted my time doing.

But it didn't work. Right now I have Florida and South Carolina and maybe one other,

But shite happens sometimes, I guess.

ACKshully it's even longer for UGA since y'all always say our vacated SEC title doesn't count.

bit different and you know it. Although since it's you, I know you get a hateboner for anything UGA related.

There obviously wasn't an SECCG in 1984 and the champion was determined over the course of the whole season. The team that finished 2nd that year LSU, you did not beat.

In the case of our basketball tourney game in question it wasn't a full-season situation. It was one game, against one opponent, wiht the outcome decided over the course fo 40 minutes of play. Which we won.

Our vacated result was because a coach of a gimme PE class gave As to people, just like occurs in every other PE class at UGA. UF's was vacated due to extensive cheating and recruiting violations.

The on field/court results were different in our favor, and the cheating was much more rampant in your favor. The situations aren't really even comparable.
