Too lazy to post a link. Personally, my initial thoughts are positive on this hire.
Definitely an off-season full of interesting additions to the team and staff.

This guy went from:
- getting an extension
- being talked about for big time jobs
- getting fired
- "special assistant" to Sark

Honestly it’ll be a good gig for both parties.
Stoops is a very good defensive coach but lost control of the program in his later years at Kentucky. Texas would likely appreciate his coaching.
I appreciate what he did at UK before it went to shite and him re-negotiating the buyout like he did. Wish him the best when he’s not coaching against Kentucky.

When you are in the coaching fraternity, you can always count on someone to give you some free cash. Any person who thinks Stoops gives a shite about football anymore is dumb. This dude just wants to continue to make a steady stream of cash without doing any work.

why not? Always good to have extra set of eyes with experience. Gary Patterson did it as well as Neal Brown for Sark.

Mark Stoops is bringing sexy back by bringing his modeling talents to UT Austin
Space cowboy will teach you all how to play defense from the top of his money pile
Dude is too manly for Austin so I expect him to commute for work, probably via golden monorail that makes the monopoly guy look like a poor

Maybe he can bring big game bob as well

I remember the Mark Stoops era at A&M.
All five hours of it.
All five hours of it.

Why do you think he’s now with the Sips? It ain’t because he has fond feelings towards the Aggies.

Truly sad ... what a loser Sark must be to need all these special assistants.

All five hours of it.

Two things led the demise.
John Schlarman dying of cancer. He had the offensive line playing at a high level that Woffird couldn’t come close to matching.
Liam Coen leaving twice. Stoops tried to match that style with Scangarello and Bush Hamdan. Both were disasters.
The defense was at least decent, most games but our offense was a train wreck.
Stoops is a good defensive coach. Just don’t ask for his opinion on offense.

"Sark" sure is hiring a lot of coaches that can replace him. Coach Boom and Stoops.

I'm pretty sure Sark isn't the one hiring these coaches. Or he is just plain stupid

Sarkisian is building a strong defensive staff that may get Texas back to being a top 10 team and compete for a championship like he has never had success in the past.

Sark isn't making these hires, He's been told to shut up and color and it will be coaching by committee in Austin this next year.
