The University of Alabama last won a national championship in a major sport with its football team in the 2020 season (played in January 2021). Additionally, Alabama's women's wheelchair basketball program won a national championship in 2021.

Imagine being a Bama fan knowing that your glory days are in the rear view mirror. It must be a shock to see the early preseason predictions being ranked in the mid teens.

You see, until now, LSU hasn’t had a great coach since Saban and still could pull off two NCs. The program runs itself.
Alabama needs a top 5 of all time coach to do the same e.g. Bear.

Forgive the gumps. They’re sliding into irrelevance. Since so many in that fanbase tie their own personal worth to that football program, they’re going to start acting out in sad, yet very predictable ways.

Should have been 3 except they whined and got a mulligan
And no truer words have ever been spoken, Saban and Bear made Bama not the other way around.
