Deebo Samuel had this award locked up a few years back in SF, but Kyle Shanahan makes Kyle Shanahan mistakes in big games.

Y’all had to have produced a national title with a Super Bowl mvp on your team right?? Many conference championships perhaps? Certainly at least a lowly cotton bowl win huh?

None from Mizzou, but one of the most famous plays in Super Bowl history came from Mizzou's Mike Jones making The Tackle.

And a Super Bowl winning coach in the same game.

Gary Kubiak.

Drafted by Denver the same year they got Elway. “Welcome to the NFL. Here’s your clipboard.”

Alabama had the first three Super Bowl MVPs
Bama, Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida, A&M, and Oklahoma represent the SEC for a total of twelve MVP awards (Bama- 3- Georgia- 3 Ole Miss- 2 - Florida- 1- Tennessee- 1- A&M- 1- Oklahoma- 1

Interestingly, players from Texas A&M, East Texas State, and Texas Tech have all won MVP, but no one from Texas

Tennessee State has as many MVPs as Tennessee

Mississippi Valley State is represented but not Mississippi St

"Emmitt Smith was the Super Bowl MVP for Super Bowl XXVIII (January 30, 1994), leading the Dallas Cowboys to victory with 132 rushing yards and two touchdowns, capping a remarkable season where he also won the NFL MVP award and a rushing title. He is the only player to achieve this unique combination of league MVP, Super Bowl MVP, and rushing title in the same season (1993)."

Hey! They claim they did just like they claim all those unrecognized NCs from the 50s

Wednesday WayBack, 2003: No. 3 LSU 17, No. 15 Ole Miss 14

What if I told you LSU vs. Ole Miss could be nationally relevant?

by Billy Gomila
Jul 31, 2013 at 7:00 AM CDT

quote:

Funny thing about 2003 -- as much as LSU was rolling as November arrived, they still weren’t in first place in the SEC West. Ole Miss was. The Eli Manning-led Rebels lost a pair of shootout non-conference games to Memphis and Texas Tech ( ) and then six-game winning streak, upsetting Florida and Auburn on the road, while scoring a home win over a ranked Arkansas squad. They had worked their way into the top 20, and suddenly had a legit shot at winning the division with No. 3 LSU coming to town.

and the rest is history.

23 years later and 13 years since this article was written Billy can finally say he called it that OM is good enough for LSU-OM to be nationally relevant. After we kick their arse in the Gameday game of the week this season Lane will shoo them back to the doghouse where they’ve lived for the past 65 years without a single title or conference championship
