LT James
LG Haywood
C Delgatty
RG Brooks
RT Carroll

Sanders seems like he would be a safe pick but he barely played behind some dog shite guards. He’s light for a guard too. Could see Lloyd and Poe being considered but there again, at some point if they couldn’t push the guys last year, then geez.

Week 1 I agree:

LT James
LG Haywood
C Delgatty
RG Brooks
RT Carroll

Late Season?

LT Lloyd
LG Haywood
C Delgatty
RG Sanders
RT Carroll

I don’t think any of those guards can get complacent because there will be a pack behind them with game experience and size scratching and clawing.

Have to say I wouldn’t be shocked to see one of the guys listed as a guard or Strayhorn push Degatty at C either due to strength or if he struggles with those elite defenses late.

Gonna be an absolute crucible starting with Georgia and not everyone who goes in a starter to that stretch will finish it that way IMO.

Yeah he played some early in the season and it looked to me like he moved around pretty good.

I would love to see somebody play as a jumbo FB. We have enough bodies that somebody can play 6th OL and FB. Somehow or another we have got to be able to run the ball.

Im optimistic that we have upgraded this whole position group. But we are losing two guys who could be good NFL players. The coaching staff has had the table set for them. Gotta be able to make a good dinner with all those groceries.

That’s an incredibly young group. I’m sure the staff will be rotating and messing around with groups all season again and that will be fun and not frustrating at all.

The youth and inexperience potentially on the OL is concerning. Geeze that's A LOT of young'uns without a lot of experience.

I remember back in the day that snaps played was a good indicator of how good a line would be. We are cooked

Honestly, with a GOOD O line coach (and Chris Kapilovic is NOT a good O line coach), that would make a gigantic difference. If CKD sticks with CK, we may be completely hosed. He is hands down the worst O line coach I've ever seen at Bama. Worse than either Bob Connelly and Doug Marrone.

If we could get a good one to come in work with these guys, instill some good habits/technique, get ALL of them into their best physical shape possible, that would be huge. Let's face it, we had guys starting who were in TERRIBLE physical shape out there (Proctor could literally have been a consensus #1 pick if he had lost 40-50 lbs).

With this offensive scheme, if the O line can be at least decent, it would solve a lot of Bama's offensive woes.

Potentially they could put an experienced group out there, although they have never played together so that experience is discounted a bit in my book.

The competition should be amazing. Im predicting at least one guy comes out as All-SEC at the end of the year. It's gonna be fun to watch develop in the offseason. I hate that we dont really get "nuggets" from spring camp like we used to in the old days.
