Coach Cig: 26-2 Notable achievements: 16-0 National Title, Heisman winner, Conference Championship

Synopsis:

He plundered the portal, and used Sabans formula to build a contender... at Indiana. One of the worst football programs in history. He turned them into the most physical team in the country dominating both sides of the LOS throughout his two seasons there, and showing remarkable discipline in all phases of the game. Special teams, defense, offense are all coached and executing at a high level... to a Championship level. Comes across as highly cerebral, calculated, and isn't afraid to make the big calls. Clearly soaked up as much as he could while working with the GOAT Nick Saban. He speaks bluntly, candidly, and offers an honest opinion that is usually insightful, educational, and even entertaining. Elite evaluator of both coaches and players.

Coach K DeBoer: 20-8, notable achievements: lost to 4 unranked teams, suffered the most blowout losses by an Alabama coach since Coach Dubose, Beat Georgia in the regular season, made a 12 team playoff

Synopsis:

Took over Americas top program, and immediately turned his back on former HC Nick Sabans formula of success to implement his own guru "semi-air raid," brand of football. Within two short years built a team so soft that they couldn't run for more than 1 yard without a gadget play. Known for leading his team out of the tunnel "sleep walking." No clear game plan, or in game adjustments. Twice slapped a goal post in a cringy way to show how "fired up" he was, only to get brains beat out the second time around. When interviewed says nothing of substance, sounds like broken record, makes excuses and says things like "we're really close" after being annihilated by legit football teams.

Watching Indiana play last night was like watching Alabama circa 2008-2011. Interestingly those were the years minus '11 that Coach Cig was an Alabama assistant under Nick Saban.

Coach Cig has now proven without any doubt that its no longer a "need time to find his players," or needs to be given 4 years to "build his team" environment. Nope, good coaching, good evals, and portal utilization can build a title contender in a year or two.

Watch Kiffin build a title contender in 1-2 years max at LSU. Meanwhile I expect DeBoer to continue at his 3-4 losses a year pace, lose to teams he shouldn't, and get blown completely TF off the field once or twice a year.

I have no idea exactly what it is Alabama fans like about Kaylen DeBoer ? So many come to his rescue and plead his case, but I dont see it.

I hope this message doesn't hurt anyones feelings. I know the world is all about not hurting anyones feelings these days.

I don’t think anyone cares about your messaging.

People are just tired of hearing the same talking points over and over. Followed up by the retarded poster saying “Don't hate me bc I think differently.” At that point, you’re trolling.

Give me attention! You're just a hater if you think my attention seeking is pathetic and annoying!

Programming shift from Kiffin glazing to Cignetti glazing, I see.

Don't come to me with a problem, come to me with a solution. Cignetti is not going to be the coach at Alabama, so find me a coach out there who a) we could get and b) would be a clear upgrade over our current HC. If you can't do that then you are wasting everyone's time.

He basically had both of those things done when he arrived at Indiana by virtue of bringing most of his roster with him. Those things that you're dismissing are important.

But he's clearly a very good coach, too. I don't think anyone is arguing that.

Pound sand pow hound. They lose Mendoza and 31 players including 13 starters. Next year they’ll be 9-4 and your entire garbage narrative will change. They won ONE title in 100 years. Yes Cuban gives them money. Yes he found some diamonds in the rough but it’s not sustainable. They may not win another one in 30 years.

I’m not saying Deboer is the answer, but I know our assistants are not. Head coaches rarely coach. They motivate and I still process: they are like business owners. Assistant coaches like project managers and the guys in the field keep it moving.

Even saban would tell you having coaches like Kirby, Kane, Cignetti, Pruitt, etc… were the reasons they won so many titles and games.

I mean we just watched a Saban disciple play Saban ball in 2026 and win a title, while also watching the "offensive guru" who is the exact opposite of Saban get embarrassed doing whatever that was he was doing ?

I think the day after Cigs accomplishment its pertinent to point out the contrast on an Alabama message board.

I dont like being a villain. I'm just trying to move this situation forward as quickly as possible, and if telling the fanbase we have an imposter in our midst is all I can do, then that's what I'll do.

I dont post very often. I have what 8k post in over 10 years ? I think you'll all survive my lack of F's for your feelings.

Yes, obviously it needed to be pointed out. It definitely hasn't been discussed ad nauseum already.

We also saw a Saban disciple lose by 35ish in the semis. we also saw several Saban disciples not make the playoffs.

Cig has a good run going. Two good years. I, like many others, predict he returns back to the norm next season.

No one within the Alabama leadership gives a shite about your posts or anyone’s posts. Don’t inflate your ego.

Enjoy the ride bc you can’t change the direction. Right now you’re just the a-hole yelling in everyone’s ear while we sit here.

Except nothing you post on an internet message board is going to accomplish jack shite to "move the situation forward". Nobody at the university is firing DeBoer because Powhound doesn't like him and posts about it on the internet.

Wait for the next 21 - 3 arse whipping at half time in front of 100k fans booing DeBoer off Saban field.

Betcha that'll get the ADs attention.

Fans and especially donors have plenty of pull IMO
