is if they start believing all the hype and getting an ego and thinking all they have to do is show up. The media and fans are gonna be all over them, all week about how great they are and we've seen it happen before. Teams and players start thinking its gonna be a cakewalk. Patriots against the Giants....Pats going for an undefeated season and was the biggest favorite in Super Bowl history....and lost. Lakers adding Karl Malone and Gary Payton to go along with Shaq and Kobe and were heavy favorites against the Pistons in the Finals and Lakers got smoked. Buster Douglas against Mike Tyson.....that will be the only way Indiana loses this game.

It’s the last game of the season for the first National Championship in Indiana’s history. I’m positive that Indiana’s players aren’t preparing for the game thinking it’s going to be a cakewalk lol.

The maturity level is higher than normal. A 25 year old is less likely to buy in than a 19 year old. if Indiana was going to be defeated by rat poision it’d have happened already. That said there is a minuscule chance that Miami takes the opposite stand, nobody thinks we belong and gives us a chance, and shows up and makes a game of it.

I'm not so sure. Miami has elite athletes all over the field and their OL is a force like I haven't seen in CFB for a long time. It will be a close game.

Indiana won’t lose. They are about to drop their nuts on Miami and beat them bad

This team is surreal. In an era of portal they play like a prime Saban team. The discipline is unreal

Any mistake they jump on. Their OL dominates. I am jealous!!

I can’t help but root. This is what college ball is supposedly to be

Get fricked Miami!!!

Exactly what I’ve been saying. If you’re truly a sports fan, you cannot help but love this team.

I love how they keep their foot on the gas and bury teams when they have the chance. Every AU coach for decades gets a 20 point lead and then decides to play pattycakes.

Watching Mendoza's interviews last night, I highly doubt that happens. Probably the most humble college athlete I've seen in a very, very long time.

The only way Indiana loses is if we get a “if Mendoza hadn’t gotten hurt” situation.

The only way they don’t win is if they don’t get off the bus. Thats the only shot Miami has. They are absolutely the golden standard of efficient, disciplined, smart football executed perfectly on both sides of the ball.

Only difference between Cignetti and Saban is that Cignetti doesn’t throw his headset.

Iowa, Penn State and Ohio State shut IU’s running game down. Those 3 teams made Mendoza beat them via the pass. Miami has a better front 7 and secondary than all 3 of those teams. Miami will win.

You said it. I believe it.

I still can’t believed how talented Indiana is

I saw they are projected to have a dozen+ draft prospects, so it’s not just cig, it’s great players. But man they play like the football I grew up on. I love it!

I will be rooting for IU as long as cig plays ball like that, and it’s not against us. What a refreshing backdrop to the shitshow that is college athletics now. I read a article where his main criteria is guys who want to win over individual accomplishment… how the frick do you even recruit those guys in this era?

Miami has a good defensive line.

I’m sure a simulation would pick Indiana, but in the 10,000 game simulation Miami would have 2000 wins I guess.

Indiana is really sharp. They will most likely win, but it might be closer than their other playoff games.

Miami has weaknesses at various spots. Indiana doesn't. Indiana will attack and exploit, play ball control with that VERY efficient offense, dominate the TOP and wear down the Miami defense.

Indiana by 14.

Memories are short around here.

Both these teams are capable of a clunker. Its the same IU team that had to rally against Penn St after the Nipply Lions had already fired Franklin and mailed it in for the year. Miami is the team that figured out a way lose to Louisville.

So ... like most games ... the best prepared team will win. That SHOULD favor Cignetti - but if any of us knew for certain we'd be betting the mortgage. And not beating our fat gums on a message board. A LOT of really certain dudes seem to like to make their bold predictions - then pretend like they never said nothin' when they're wrong yet again.
