Dang. What is the back story there? NIL funds running low or something else?

Apparently they wanted someone better. Tough look though when the QB can't stand up for his roommate

What in the wild world of sports is happening there?

What Arch told him as he was leaving ...

Why does this no name have to make an announcement that he’s transferring? Who cares?

"no name" who had a solid 500+ yard season. Sounds like Texas told him to jump into the portal, wasnt his decision
He is visiting OU and the fightin Cignettis, so it sounds like it will work out for the kid

Probably so "fans" don't berate him for entering portal and leaving the team. He is saying, "save that, this ain't on me."

Why was Arch rooming with a freshman? He mandated only rooming with other white guys?

So he doesn’t get hateful comments….
Fans can get a little… “fanatical” when they feel jilted.
He wants them to know it wasn’t his choice

Lifetime friendships built through the brotherhood of enduring a college football program?
Earning a degree that cultivates newfound knowledge about the world?
Learning how to be men—strong, relational, leadership—while learning from great role models who pass on their wisdom of life through the intricacies of a game?
Contributing to a local community with the potential settle in the state as a member of a society united by spirit, camaraderie, and color?
Nah frick all that. Gimme the coin or get gone.

Feel bad for the kid.
Pushed out so they can afford Cam Coleman.
They have so much money though!!!

Texas WR depth is out of control
Wingo 5* 2024
Lockett 5* 2025
Ffrench 5* 2025
Terry 5* 2025
McCutcheon 4* 2025
Mosley 4* transfer from Stanford
Niblett 4* 2023
I'm surprised Cam Coleman is even being pursued given the 5* trio from 2025 should be starter-ready this year. Terry's probably being converted into a TE/H-back, but still

NCAA got greedy and tried to profit off of the players. So they got their protected “amateur” status revoked….

This is what the players AND tRant wanted back in the 2010's. Deal with it, sweethearts. You got what you wanted

There are dozens of much less impactful players that will stay in Austin. I seriously doubt Sark forced him out. Most likely, he got told they were going to upgrade the WR room and he was likely looking at reduced reps/NIL next year.
It does suck. He is a great kid and grew up bleeding orange. But our WRs were completely average this year, and this is professional football now.
100% this guy ends up in Norman and torches us next year out of spite.

I heard a very wise man say about the coming NIL-era…
“It’s a much more fair system, but it’s going to be very cruel.”
He was right.
