Is the A&M Defense Fraudulent?

Heard this on Warren Sharp podcast previewing today's game.
Notre Dame (4) and Arkansas (27) are the top 2 offenses A&M has played.
Notre Dame scored 41 points
Arkansas scored 42 points
Miami ranks 20 in total offense.
Beck's Achilles heel has been turnovers. A&M's defense has 3 int all season.
Might be some points scored today.

No. I think they’re legit. No one’s saying that about Ohio state and I don’t recall them playing any juggernaut offenses outside of Indiana.

Our defense has been exposed in the first half of the SC game and away games. We play pretty solid at home, usually.

TAMU desperately needs success at the elite level. Until then, folks have the right to doubt all they want. The thing is, the same can be said for Mario's version of the Hurricanes. TAMU has the home field, the time is NOW.

I didn't say anything about A&M fans comments. A&M is ranked 19 in total defense. Schedule of offenses might be a big factor in that.

I’m certain the majority of Aggies know our defense has serious deficiencies in various phases of the game. We get after the QB and stop third downs at a high rate and that can cover up weaknesses.

Kinda hard to be fraudulent when their flaws and weaknesses are called out all the time.
A&M has given up big plays in the run game, but has had really good 3rd down defense. That’s the stat they hang their hats on.
But yes, I expect points to be scored.

Indiana was 8th in the country in total yards per game and third in the country in points scored averaging 42 per game.

The defense is stout but we give up 3-4 explosive plays per game which skews the stats.
Take out the chuck plays and it is elite.

I don't think anyone has claimed A&M has had an elite defense. In fact when they were undefeated their defense was a big reason they never jumped Indiana or Ohio State in the CFP rankings.

The Aggie defense is just like Oklahoma's, gimmicky and don't play mano y mano. They are ripe for big plays.

Most Georgia fans will be cheering for aTm today. Beck tanked the Georgia team in 2024, then jumped ship and chased that slut and money to Miami. Hope he has the worst game of his career today,

A&M is outclassed by Miami at the line of scrimmage on both sides. Plus, every time they lose to Daddy they collapse into the fetal position — it would be on brand for them to fail to meet the moment and come out flat.
