Just saw Pribula announced entering the portal. Hope Zollers capitalizes.

Handing off to Hardy 30 times seems a fait accompli.

Norfleet is out. I will be shocked if they scrapped the 12 personnel stuff even though 11 and 10 personnel would get better athletes on the field.

Trotter out with minor knee surgery and Zion Young’s DWI might keep him out of the game. Those are the 2 biggest losses

Norfleet needs to get healthy. He might have someone that can actually throw him the ball next year

Feed the ball to Hardy. He only needs 99 yards to lead the nation in rushing

This clears the decks at QB for either Zollers or a portal QB next year. Whatever, the passing offense needs a major upgrade. And that includes the OLine, which was bad in pass pro most games. Even pathetic UMass recorded 4 sacks and several pressures.

The thing is, Pribula looked like he had it early on. Leading a comeback against KU, he was delivering dimes under pressure from the pocket into tight coverage. I'm guessing he got shellshocked from taking hits in the pocket. He started fleeing the pocket too early, and his throwing on the run was not good. The result was often a throwaway or a 1-yard pass to Norfleet.

Onward.

Portal qb for sure, not even a question. I hope he gets a true dual threat.

by the end of the season, once he started moving, he was tucking it and running, he didn't even keep his eyes downfield to look for someone coming open.

Some of his interceptions would lead one to question whether he was keeping his eyes downfield when throwing from the pocket.

The best fit for our current offense is Leavitt.

But that bag is gonna have to be HUGE ...

Rather see us take Zollers through 2+ more years of development with a better QB coach

Wouldn't that be great ? I'd love to see Matt Zollers come out and look poised and competent too.

Zollers won't survive an Eli offense for more than 6 games.

Everything points to the offensive coordinator hire being the biggest of Drink's career.

If the passing offense doesn't make a major improvement Drink's dead man walking in two years.

At least he sees it and has the resources to pay the right one. But who? And why hasn't it happened?

And maybe not just the next OC, but the next QB out of the portal. Next year, it's either going to be Zollers or that next QB. I guess we'll see whether he picks a QB mainly for backup purposes or one who can really compete with Zollers for the starter's role.
