It’s a conundrum for the SEC. Because on the one hand, frick Notre Dame - and working with the B1G, the two conferences could squeeze Notre Dame out and push them to join the B1G. But then on the other hand, watching the B1G and Notre Dame squabble is a win-win for the SEC.

No way ND gets in with the B1G. They won’t offer again. I could see the Big XII. ND wants to cut away from the ACC.

So they're going to potentially kick out a #10 ranked team for a #11-#12 ranked ND when two auto-bids take the last two spots (similar to this year).

Why? Because ND refuses to join a conference and have a respectable schedule or conference affiliation to help push their interest? That sounds like a ND problem, not a CFP problem.

Who the hell agreed to this?

Sounds like the same rule Alabama mad after missing the CFP last year. There is no other explanation for the manipulation of Bama ranking the last three weeks.

So, there is now one rule for ND and another for the other 149 teams? What would possess the committee to make this agreement? Every member should immediately put forth their resignation. If they are capable of this stupidity, they are incapable of selecting the proper field.

It sounds like we have a conference commissioner working behind the scenes to get us included. You may not like us but the more teams the SEC gets in, the more money for everyone.

ND plays in 2026
Wisconsin
Mich State
Miami
USC

The rest are dog shite. Only 1 above will be ranked (Miami) and who knows by season end.

Why doesn't the committee just say you're in and no conditions. 90% of the SEC would go 11-1 with that schedule.

If Notre Dame refuses to join a conference, the committee must make a rule to where they have to play the previous year’s SEC, B1G, Big 12, and ACC winner every year to be considered. They play a joke of a schedule next year.

This is ridiculous.
