I got no love for the Irish but you can’t tell me that Tulane or James Madison should be there over them

The committee could have just put ND at 13 this week.

ND seems to think they have this figured out but if you lose 2 games, you really don't get to complain much.

Actually they have a MOU sounds like. I suspect that’s not terribly secure

Of course not but those were the rules this year. However, Vandy and UT should have been in over ND.

Hey, its the Notre Dame way

Schedule 2 good teams, lose to them, then make the playoffs.

Sounds like the rest of the schools need to fight to force them into a conference if they are getting special treatment like this and run away from tough schedules.

Took auto qualifier spots that ND cant get because they refuse to join a conference. ND had 7 spots available to them and failed, tough shite

I obviously haven't seen it, but MOUs aren't generally binding. I'm not sure what this accomplishes beyond soothing the bruised egos of Domers.

Then every team ranked above #20 or #24 could say the exact same thing about some G5 auto-bid stealing “their” spot.
That’s literally how automatic qualifiers work.
Yet somehow Notre Dame is the one having a full meltdown over it.

If you watched football and not just homer SEC, you would wish your team had Marcus Freeman and played his brand of football.

Those guys are disciplined and get after it. They got robbed this year, no other way to look at it.

They didn’t get robbed if they had joined the ACC they would have been in the CCG and could have played their way in. Hell at least Vandy was willing to play another game to get in. If Notee Dame had any balls they would have said you know what we can offer to play Miami at a neutral sight on conference championship weekend and tried to solve the situation but they are so damned arrogant they thought they were owed the right to be in. With that being said, I say f em.

sounds like more context is needed. Are we sure this change is only for Notre Dame, and not just doing away with the dumb G5 auto bids?

This is the dumbest statement I see across this board today. If you play good football it should not come down to whether you are in a conference or not.

It's the game on the field that matters. You people are way to consumed with conference ideology instead of the game being played. ND is not joining a conference an no conference will ever boycott them for not joining a conference.

BTW, I did not like ND growing up because they sucked and were on TV all the time. I picked up on them last year because of how they play under Freeman. Now I am glad they are on every week because they are fun to watch right now.

sympathy for ND

Why?

frick ND. frick their clover. frick their leprechaun. frick their scratched scarred cheap walmart painted gold helmets. frick their green jersey. frick the blasphemous bastards calling anything to do with Jesus touchdown because I promise you he doesn’t care about football.

You obviously weren’t a 10 year old boy watching Ara luck his way into a win against Bear on 12/31/73. I’m 62 now and carry a grudge. So frick ND.

I'll give you another way to look at at,

nd played 2 good teams and lost to both.
The rest of the season was trash.

nd lost to the only 2 good teams they played.

No matter what idiots say, "good loses" don't equal wins vs other teams good teams.

A loss is a loss.

Another thing, people are sick of 138 years of a college pretending Jesus is on their side.
Jesus cares about your soul. Football is man's folly. Just stop it already.

As predicted, the rules will be changed to accommodate ND.

Notre Dame does not have a monopoly on this one. After a lot of games a player on the winning team during his on-field interview will state something to the effect that he credits glory to whatever for the win such that the only logical conclusion one is left with is that the losing team was composed of godless heathens.
