I really don’t think OU is a CFP team. They squeaked out wins despite playing worse

OU 4 game stretch before LSU, they were outmatched in terms of yardage. Lost the yardage battle in all 4 games. Vs Bama it was 400+ yards for Bama vs only 200 yards for OU. They’ve just kinda weaseled their way through games.
If I Vegas were ranking the top 12 by odds, 3 teams wouldn’t be there. OU, Tulane, and James Madison. Notre Dame, Vandy, and Texas should be in those spots in a world solely based on who are the top 12 teams in college football.

Yes, but it’s all about who you didn’t play, not who you played, get the easiest schedule and you get to pretend to be good until you actually play someone good

That's what having an elite defensive mind as your head coach will do for you. I know we may lose sight of that now that football is being geared more and more for offense, but Venables is a good frickin coach. I wanted him here so badly years ago now. Our fans thought I was crazy. But look at it now. He's taking Oklahoma to the playoffs.

You are absolutely correct Cali, OU was outgained in those games and if the criteria for deciding the winner was total yardage Oklahoma would not have gone 10-2.

You realize most of the Championship teams in the past squeaked out of certain games to get their trophies? You act like OU is literally the only team in the 12 teams CFP that got lucky. Look at Oregon - nearly lost to Penn State and Iowa. Alabama - Mizzou, South Carolina, and Auburn…do I need to go on?
