This is dumb. If they are ranked here then they are in.

Everyone hates Bama but the real enemy to CFB is Notre Dame without a doubt.

If Sankey or any SEC school president agreed to that, they should be fired immediately.

This is why everyone hates ND. They should be forced to join conference or forced to play at least 10 power 4 opponents on their schedule to be eligible.

Instead of bitching, how about you join a fricking conference and this shite wouldn't happen.

Both get preferential treatment but at least Bama (usually) earns it or at least tries. Notre Dame doesn’t even play the games, just live in the land of hypotheticals.

I hate Alabama but I also respect the program immensely. They consistently compete against and beat the best teams in the country. Notre Dame hides from competition

why is everyone in the cfb world fine with one team getting special treatment? I don't get it. how does this benefit our conference or any of the teams in our conference?

And Snakey agreed to it. And then expanded to a nine conference schedule. Dude is incompetent

why can't my team be guaranteed a playoff spot if they finish top 12? why can't all sec teams be guaranteed a spot if they finish top 12? why is notre dame special?

This crap is surreal. Get this freaking committee out of it. I tend to agree with Herbie, go straight computer rankings and let the chips fall where they may.

There is simply no comparison. Last year all the quantitative metrics had Bama in the playoff, and yet they gave their spot to a garbage Indiana team. That would never happen to ND. This year, ND comes in at 15 (after the two ridiculous AQ’s). They shouldn’t even be part of the conversation this year and yet here we are.

Absolutely a moron if he agreed to that and he should be fired if he did. More often than not it’s going to be an SEC team left out so ND can get in.

Everyone should stop scheduling them until they give in.

Everybody should actually hate Michigan. This all goes back to Michigan and Fielding Yost trying to frick Notre Dame. So by doing that, Notre Dame went all across the country and got TV deals by playing big games to finance their program and stadium. This coincided with Knute Rockne being their coach and having an overall great program at the time.

Not saying Notre Dame is absolved of all guilt but that’s really the source of all of it.
