That’s the hard truth in this new age

Keelon has to start next year.

I truly believe, if Keelon starts we see stat levels akin to Deboer/Grubb at Washington with Penix. 4k yards, 40 tds, this offense will be unleashed if Keelon starts next year. He’s that fricking good

Does Kalen have the balls to keep Ty now that he tanked his pro prospects? Dude went from first rounder in early October to undrafted now.

You have to start Keelon and gently tell Ty it’s over

I think Ty is a great guy, but you always go with youth potential over a maxed out upperclassman in my opinion in this new age

I’m more concerned with having balance on offense at this point. Hard to win a championship without a competent running game. I do agree that Ty has to go.

Ty is being mocked as a day one pick almost everywhere. Let's calm down with the doomsday stuff.

After the last month Ty ain't going day 1. But he's also not going undrafted. He'll probably go late 2nd to early 4th.

Ty probably going draft anyways. So I wouldn't worry about it

Qb draft class is still weak. Makes sense for him to still leave

Very weak QB class, Ty still has some fantastic tape out there. I wouldn't draft him, but Trey Lance went 3rd overall so who the hell knows.

I’m just sick and tired of wanting my starting QB to leave

That means little. If you know anything about mocks, you know they are horribly off especially this far out. Milroe was still being mocked as a first round pick this time last year

I am not dooms-daying, do any of yall doubt in this new age of CFB that a talented five star won’t leave if he has to sit for 2 years?

He will absolutely leave if he is told he’s sitting next year. Someone is going to offer him 5 million to come start elsewhere.

Now I’m not saying a Senior Ty wouldn’t be good, he would be. But do you go with one year of good Senior Ty Simpson or potentially two years of elite Keelon Russell?

This ain’t ten years ago, Keelon absolutely takes an offer to start elsewhere, most likely from some big ten school or a Texas school where he’s from if he doesn’t start next year.

It’s a Tua/Jalen situation. I loved Jalen and I love Ty for both of their hearts. But you start the more talented passer.

That’s all I’m saying

We need a clean slate next season at QB regardless of how things play out.

We need to keep Ryan Williams. I know he's underperformed, but still can be a legit weapon.

Get a couple of good OL in the portal and get to work.

Milroe was mocked as 1 round last year. Ty’s not going 1st round.

Until this staff learns how to build and execute a running game, the QB isn’t going to matter. Every game this year was a complete struggle with a couple exceptions against lesser opponents, and it was because we couldn’t run the damn ball. Teams figured it out because it’s not complicated. Cover the pass and shut down the run with 4-5 in the box. Blitz on obvious pass downs. This is Alabama and the SEC. Figure out a freaking run game or become a mid tier team.

Again, our running attack is s**t because our backs on the whole are s**t and our offensive line is s**t. No amount of “coaching them up” will change that.

That being said, it’s on this staff to fix the problem … they know how to do it, Washington had a 1,200-yard rusher when they went to the final and him being hurt that night hurt them badly … and they should face consequences if they don’t.

I think he will be forced out kind of like Beck was at uga last year. He'll probably transfer to a mid-tier B1G 10 school... Hopefully

Dude is skittish when there is pressure. No way he would go in the 1st round. Put down the pipe and slowly back away...

...not at $2+ million... his play this season doesn't even warrant ½ of that

get to work.
None of that is going to fix the issues Deboer and Grubb bring to the table which is mostly a lack of toughness and fundamental execution and Grubb's illogical offense.......They'll get next year to see what they can do and then Bama will do what they need to do.
