USCe: 27 pts, 325 yards, 5.9YPA
LSU: 20 pts, 344 yards, 7.9YPA
OU: 21 pts, 326 yards, 7.8YPA
AU: 27 pts, 280 yards, 3.6YPA
UGA: 7 pts, 209, 5.4YPA

Granted those are some really good defenses, but the yardage has basically collapsed relative to earlier in the season and it’s because the passing game was figured out.

They’ve figured out we cant run.

They’ve figured out we can’t throw deep.

Without those two things most good defenses can pretty much destroy you because they can either sit two deep safety and make you throw 4 yard crossers or blitz you because they don’t fear the deep ball.

I really don’t think we can fix this without a change at QB until Ty is healthy because our absolute only path to wins in the playoffs is to start hitting deep balls which Ty is flat out bad at this year for whatever reason.

*The SECCG needs to go. Does more damage to conference teams than helps. A conference simple cannot eliminate its own teams from playoffs; or possibly injure players in a game that means nothing in the national title picture.

*Ty has talent but needs a sports psychologist and a running game to help him. Our coaching staff is failing to bring out the best in him.

* Deboer may never bring the toughness and offensive philosophy to the SEC that will win on a championship level. The fact he thinks Grubb is his best OC option is scarey.

* Grubb – I could give a long list of reasons here but he simply is not a good OC and his style would be very hard to win a national title with. Too much finesse, cute, and poor fundamentals. He should either stay on the west coast or just be a passing coordinator only. He also failed to help Ty get over his issues.

* Deboer must make some changes starting with coaches Grubb and the OL coach. Look at Georgia and look at Bama. There is no comparison in toughness and fundamentals.

* Unless Deboer continues to evolve to this alpha job and the SEC style, he will not survive here. He’s already lost points with important people and is on a short leash. If there is not very positive change in momentum by next year, he will be gone. …………Have this feeling Deboer will fail to progress from being hard-headed and will be shown the door. Deboer is a very nice man but he has a level of delusion that is failing to see what is required in this job.

Best rushing games of the year against the two best run defenses we've played prior to the hospital unit that was fielded today.

We'll see what happens after some rest and a reset.

You are correct. I have had Alabama fatigue the last 5 games. It has been excruciating.

I am more concerned with the staff at this point. This is two straight years that our QB has regressed and was counted on to win when needed to make the playoffs.

It is one thing to have a bad game but when it continues as the season progresses time to make changes. Maybe why Grubb moved down to the sidelines out of the box but the staff now has cost us possibly two opportunities to make the playoffs because they refuse to bench a QB.

I hope we hold onto Russell.

Thing is Bama ran the ball well the first two plays of the game and then did a stupid delayed handoff to Brooks. I understand the element of surprise, but if something works, you don’t change to something that takes even longer to develop.

Teams started playing 2 high safeties and daring us to run the ball and we can’t.

We are facing split safeties because we cant run. Really hard to throw deep vs split safeties.

Well, If KDB ever puts him at least he should know he won’t get pulled no matter how much he sucks.

I know the feeling. Every evening post game I'd watch the rewind/highlights either by ESPN or that Wheels guy on YouTube....... South Carolina was the last game in which I did so.

Why did we have the best relative performance on the ground in those games though?

It’s because the defenses are two deep and begging us to run. They’d love for us to run for 3.2YPC because they know we’ll never sustain drives that way and we haven’t hit an explosive all year.

Now it’s even worse because they’ve realized we aren’t even accurate in the short passing game so they can send whoever they want and we don’t make them pay.

Again, this is a QB centric offense. When we were good at QB it didn’t matter that we were bad running the ball.

But we aren’t allowed to be bad at everything simultaneously and that’s where we’re at since OU.

Milroe was a one trick pony, you can’t win with that long like a reliever in the playoffs with one pitch. I don’t think he’s on the coaches.

Simpson is hurt. They had him playing at a Heisman level prior to that even with some limitations in his deep passing game.

So no I don’t blame them for the poor output but I do believe at some point those positions need to be held accountable just like every other position is.

We were fine when we were efficient in the short and intermediate passing games against that look.

Now we can’t even hit those looks.

Alabama is just another team buying players hoping to win. Both this year and last year are very similar yet different as well.

This time next year the Truth will be clear. Problem is you still owe Kalen 40 million.

Im fine with changing the QB but this team ain't doing shite until they change the OL coach, blocking schemes, and get quicker and better offensive linemen.
