Forget Lane Kiffin...if Alabama is smart....this is your guy. 35 years old. Won multiple Nattys. Learned under Saban and Smart. Knows the SEC through and through.

Last 4 games. his defense held Texas to 10 points, Charolette to 3 points, Georgia Tech to 9 points and Alabama to 7 points.

Definitely a good one. They are one of the best tackling teams I’ve seen in a while.

Kinda thought he could have been a better hire than Sumrall or Golesh. He doesn't look the part of an SEC head coach, but you never know.

Kirby Smart made Schumann his 1st hire when he got the Georgia job. That was his #1 priority.

Struggled the first part of the season. I suspect most teams go thru the same issue - almost entirely new defense every season with the portal and breaking in new freshman. With that said, they are the bread and butter of our team right now. Defense has been balling out.

That took all season to develop since we lost so many guys to the NFL again.

That’s an even stronger endorsement of your DC, IMO

Schumann just feels like a great fit for Alabama. SEC coach all throughout his career and learned under the best. DeBoer never coached in the SEC at any level before getting the Alabama job. He just seems like a bad fit like Brian Kelly was at LSU.

He just put Bama away pretty good. If Jones didn’t have two 15 yard penalties that saved the one TD drive, he would’ve put Bama away with their first shutout in 25 years. Don’t be a bitch about it.

OP, nothing against your point but not many DC would have a hard time defending a butter soft OL, a crazy OC and QB that is melt-down mode.
