At some point you gotta be aware of the long term goal. We weren’t winning that game at that point you are playing the scoreboard. Should have punted.

Of all the calls you're pissed off at...that's the one you post about? We're down 21-7 with something like 8 minutes to go. Do you truly expect him to punt in that situation with a championship and a potential playoff berth on the line?

I’ve kept my mouth shut about that until now … I know it doesn’t make standard football sense but I don’t have a huge problem with it. Screw the playoff considerations, take your shot and make something happen.

I don't have a problem going for it there. But maybe don't call the same play that was such a fricking failure in the same situation in the Oklahoma game.

Hill was wide open for a first down in the flat on that play. Simpson threw the ball to the last person who should have been targeted.

It wasn’t for that.
The offense has been figured out because Ty has no accuracy right now and other teams aren’t afraid of our run game.
Until we know how to punish a blitz or operate against a 2 high safety look we are cooked.

No but the playcalling was retarded. If we're in 4 down territory and we have 2 plays to get 2 yards, you don't pass the ball twice. It's fricking retardation.

If the TE just catches the ball and takes the hit, 1st and 10 and we may just be talking about running out of time tonight instead of the bad optics of 28-7.

The entire fourth quarter he was locked on to Bernard. Wide open or triple-covered, he was throwing it to him every play. Horton, Williams, and Brooks might as well not have even been out there.

Hilarious. Same folks that were screaming all game that they “weren’t trying to win the game” suddenly when they do something to try and win the game scream that it’s a fireable offense.
You need 3 or 4 possessions to win the game with 8 minutes, you’re out of options. You go for it.
Now the play call… yeah that sucked. Or at least in the way that Ty read it. 4 was wide open with nothing but green in front of him, but Ty makes the read to go to one of the hardest throws in the game.

Yes. We have 2 TOs and only need 2 scores. You punt that all day…even Saban would have.
Get the ball back with about 5:30 and go 2 min drill. Try to score without using your TOs by 2:30 left. Onside, use your 2 TOs and 2min TO if you don’t get it and hope for a last possession to tie.
Punting was the right decision to try to win, but 1000% the right decision to get to the playoffs. DeBoer makes very bad decisions
