We need to go fast to where their D can’t get set and make adjustments.

This is what AJ McCarron was saying. We need to go up-tempo and get lined up so they don't know when we're snapping the ball.

How many of the doom and gloom threads are you gonna start.

Me saying that this team is inconsistent and I don't know what to expect from them is "doom and gloom"?

Maybe you need to go to TideFans if you're that sensitive. :wah:

In the end people will want to blame everything bjt the fact we need better QB decision making, faster decision making and better throws.

I agree with you. People forget that Ty isn't some elite QB. This is a guy who couldn't beat out Jalen Milroe, and I think we've seen why.
Giving the G5 an automatic playoff bid is too generous.

In the NIL era, the gap between P5 and G5 is going to get wider and wider.

I believe only one G5 school should get a shot, and they should qualify for a play-in game for the 12th spot.

This year it should've been ND at 11, and then Vanderbilt vs. the G5 champ for the 12th spot.

lol this is kinda hilarious the way the coaching carousel works.

He's a good DC. I'm sure Texas will appreciate having him.

I've not seen enough of Mbakwe playing to know if he's progressing

I think he's in the 2-deep at WR which is pretty impressive.

What I expect to see is Skeletor do what he did last time; push those ends up the field and bring a mixed blitz inside to confuse. Then for our QB to panic, get wide eyed and make mistakes.

This is exactly what Georgia did too.

Hopefully this coaching staff can adjust the offense, because Venebles and Smart are 2 defensive masterminds.
In this conference of elite coaches, your scheme and system has to be adaptable. Opposing staffs are going to figure you out.
Saban's not an idiot. He's been coaching football his entire fricking life. If he says they pipe in noise, they pipe in noise.
This team is so inconsistent I have no idea what to expect.

Are they going to come out flat after getting their souls snatched vs. Georgia, or are we going to see a galvanized unit ready to take on the world?

I will say this: I expect this to be a hard-fought 60 minute game at the very least. If we get run out of the stadium like we did last year, DeBoer is going to be on the hot seat going into next season.

Do you think the offense will rediscover its mojo, or are we cooked?

Mbakwe

Are we writing this guy off too soon?

I know a lot of fans are down on him after the stunt he pulled in the offseason, but it seems like he's legitimately progressing at WR.

He's one of the fastest, most electric guys we have on the team. If he can settle in at WR, he could actually help us next year.

Drew DeArmond just now saying that LT Overton is most likely done. Apparently, it’s something with his heart or something like that.

Drew DeArmond is actually one of the most legit insiders. This sucks for LT

There is a lot to answer for in the offseason amongst this offensive staff. This inability to run effectively is unacceptable.

Exactly. This is the 2nd season in a row we've seen the offense get WORSE over the season.
It's mind-boggling. How do they manage to make QBs worse with more reps? How do they manage to make the offense more dysfunctional and have less of an identity with more reps?

Apparently some people who know football think these guys are clueless. When you see the results it makes you wonder...

Offensive Gameplan for Oklahoma

Idk what the answer is on offense, but I know what Grubb is cooking up.

First drive we go Jam Miller up the gut on first down - stuffed.

Second down we do some goofy WR end around that goes for 2 yards.

Third down, Ty gets blitzed and throws it out of bounds.

Punt.

I expect a heavy dose of Jam Miller and Daniel Hill up the gut for an average of 1.2 ypc. Grubb is convinced that running the ball is the answer lol

Ive gotta watch it. Where did Saban find these low-IQ disasters?

Back-to-Back Headcases at QB

Youve gotta feel bad for DeBoer. Milroe and Ty Simpson are 2 of the weirdest, mentally weakest, most inconsistent QBs we've maybe ever seen.

Both of them flash extraordinary talent - just enough to give coaches hope that they can develop, but are so mentally unstable that they have total meltdowns and mentally crumble under pressure.

What in the frick is wrong with these guys?
quote:

Hopefully we see young guys play

We've got tons of young guys playing on defense , and they're playing well.

We don't have any young guys playing on offense, and our offense sucks arse.

We need to send Ty packing, and prepare for next year, but obviously it's not gonna happen
No but the playcalling was retarded. If we're in 4 down territory and we have 2 plays to get 2 yards, you don't pass the ball twice. It's fricking retardation.
I have no faith in this team to beat anyone better than 8-4 right now.

We have collapsed on offense just like last year. We absolutely suck right now
This coaching staff relies on offense.

Instead of hitting the portal and getting a worthy QB like Kiffin does every year, they decided to do the feel-good thing and give it to the "team guys" like Milroe and Ty. It's cost us 2 fricking seasons.

We'll never win anything with DeBoer unless we have a first round draft pick at QB. Period.
