Definitive “What happens when Bama beats UGA” tomorrow thread re: 1st round byes

I figure this has been a reply or two in other threads, but not sure if it has its own. Even if it does, these things are free so I’m making another one.
Does Bama beating UGA tomorrow mean the B1G could get 3/4 of the byes, or would they move Ole Miss or A&M into that 4th spot above Oregon?

Talk about the most undeserving top 4 ever.

Here's my dumb meaningless opinion.
1. Big Ten Champion is the No. 1 seed
2. If Georgia wins, Georgia is the No. 2 seed.
If Alabama and Texas Tech win, Texas Tech is the No. 2 seed
3. If Texas Tech wins, they will be the No. 3 seed
4. Could see Alabama here if Alabama wins.
5. I think Oregon is locked into the 5 regardless of what happens.
6. If Georgia wins, Ole Miss is locked into the 6. If Alabama wins, Georgia lands here and everyone moves down.

As a Georgia fan I want to beat Bama and be SEC champs and get the bye, obviously. But it is kinda funny that is that scenario UGA wins they get a 2 seed and would have to play A&M/Bama winner in the Sugar Bowl vs lose and play a home game against probably Virginia then Indiana/Texas Tech in the Orange bowl?
I guess my SEC bias is showing but which is tougher road to semifinals?

Assuming no upsets before first round byes will go to Ohio State, Indiana, Texas Tech and the winner of Alabama/Georgia.
I just don't see them putting Oregon at #4 and giving the big ten 3 of the top 4 seeds.
I think winning the SEC championship and beating Georgia twice is sufficient compensation for the ugly FSU loss.

Bama might get a spot but they won't beat Georgia tomorrow.

SECCCG winner has to get a bye.

I don't now, man. Jump from 9 to 4? That's a whole lot of teams they would be jumping.

If there were a book on LDU fans' failed takes, it would rival the Encyclopedia Britannica in size.

Maybe. I think it depends on how much Indiana loses by.
Last year, Texas was 2 and Penn State was 3 entering CCG Saturday. UGA was 5.
After those teams lost, they fell only one spot to 3 and 4 respectively, while UGA moved up to 2.
Does a 2 loss Alabama jump over a 1 loss Indiana?

Bama is already getting “credit” for beating UGA in the regular season. Does beating the same team a second time boost them all that much more?

Yeah, this is one of those weird scenarios where it feels like we're either going to play each other three times in one season, or one of us will get matched against Ohio State in the first round.
Based on the injury report for both Alabama and Georgia, I find it absurd that these B1G teams that have had the luxury of "injury management" for their best players (in conference games, no less).

I think that’s part of the duality of why they bumped us to #9. A 2nd win over the same Top 5 team to win the SEC would/should be enough to bump us to #4, IMO.
The only teams we’d be jumping are ones who sit on the couch while we play an extra game vs a Top 5 team. That’s an easy sell from the committee, IMO.
Of course, that’s all moot if we lose.

I doubt Bama gets anything more than a home playoff game for a win and GA will still get the bye if they lose.
